Ooh~ #5 got me. Lately I’ve been doing a lot of inner work, trying to let go of grief for parts of my identity that wasted away as I committed to supporting my partner at home (which involved moving cities 9 times in a 10 year span) and becoming a mother also. Plainly, I’m just too tired to carry the anger any longer, and it truly seems to keep our hearts divided. I’ve reached a point where I realize we will never have a peaceful, united home unless I can forgive (whether him or myself or both) and let go.

Point 9 at 13:30 I agree and disagree a bit. I believe having a disagreement, not a shouting match or heated argument, can teach children how to communicate respectfully. Also, it teaches that a couple may not always be in agreement with one another but can still be considerate and compromising. Imo raising kids to believe a couple agrees on everything all the time is a false reality. My husband and I may disagree, but we show our sons what a healthy, loving conversation looks like despite disagreeing.
