I've been guilty of deflecting, it was super common in my household growing up that for awhile I didn't think it was a problem. I'm learning to unlearn past toxic behaviors that has been a common factor in the divorces to some of my relatives and adopting healthy habits. I want a successful marriage despite my parents being divorced and my mom's side having divorces. We don't have to continue the toxic cycle, break free 🕊️

Amen!!! I always say if we give what the other needs and wants, we will receive what we need and want. Each spouses focus should be the other spouse not themselves. Loving someone shouldn't be "what can I get"? "It should be what can I give?" You will never not get all you want when you love that way.
