I have had a crack at this new version and my skills from the original arcade back in the day helped me kill the red demons that Dunkey is struggling with. I could never finish any version of this game, but I could manage to get through a few levels. Gen x is just made of sterner stuff.

The original 1985 game was hard as hell, no pun. Even the 88 release was just as hard. You can run it in mame and apply various cheats to practice and learn the different levels.

You do have some moves there, yo.' Unfortunately for me, I have to relearn the SEGA Genesis way of playing cuz i utterly owned the SNES version up & down. But you can double-jump in that. So vital in getting around. Sure you can shoot in 4 directions in this, but you have to be able to dodge the medieval bull-hell this game throws at you.
