Federalism is one of the Basic Structures of the Indian Constitution therefore one nation, one poll cannot be legislated. Again does it mean the State Govts. would have fixed term? Can’t the CM ask the Governor to dissolve the Assembly mid way if such are the circumstances?
If a State Govt. is dismissed under Art. 356 say in the 2nd year of its tenure, will the Central Rule continue till its fix term is over?
