Katana tends to break just with a slightly wrong angle. And there's a lot of medieval pictures, paintings and sketches showing how they would flex the long sword, so it really is one of it's features. It is so that in case the sword miss the target body and was stopped by another weapon or a shield, it wouldn't be broken easily. Katana is very fragile in comparison.

I believe that an ambidextrious "zombie slayer" club with double pommel for left or right handed use. The Aquaglide is so it doesn't get stuck in any zombie heads, you wouldn't want to lose your weapon in the heat of battle because it got stuck.
