I've learned that when someone shows that part of themselves to me more often than not, it is a true indication that this is not who I want in my life. You can get nowhere in a decent convo with this type of person - so I always excuse myself, look at my watch and say "oh look at the time I have to go- later" and turn around and leave. I'm at peace and they - well go onto the next unsuspecting person. Believe me it's in their DNA and they hold onto that part of themselves as if they were going to die. Drastic huh... not worth the mental anguish they cause.... Just saying...
