Also, if a surgeon was smoking weed, they would do so on a day or time where they have nothing scheduled. No medical professional will show up to work impaired and risk the patients life, it’s not how it works sadguru
@Dambreaux777 Says:
This is probably the most ignorant take he’s ever had, but considering he himself claims to have never been educated in any degree, I can kind of understand his ignorance.

Alcohol is terrible too. Most people drink it at least once a week (aka they are alcoholics but ofcourse will deny it). 😂 It has caused so much pain and terror in the communities.
@BrahmasyaSwaraha Says:
But the small doses of marijuana has cured diseases like adhd, ptsd, migrane, epilepsy, etc it clearly has some benefits, it just neednt be abused. Even i am all in for no need for any substance to enhance the natural healing that the purity of soul can provide.

Alcohol biggest epidemic in India which causes cancer is legal ..... alcohol legal in India so do you think surgeon comes drunk for surgery...it's no...so don't say all bull shit things
@ajnabi_tribe Says:
Comparing Cocaine and Marijuana that just shows his level, no doubt the Hatha yoga program of isha is really nice but life philosophy of Sadhguru is very questionable. Why is alcohol legal? I don’t want my surgeon to be drunk either and if somehow I need to make a choice between a drunk and a high surgeon, I would definitely pick up a high one as any sane person who has ever smoked a marijuana will do. According to his poor logic, in Canada all surgeons must be stoned. Just copying Osho’s style and words doesn’t make like you. Now if we talk from the view point of Ayurveda, marijuana is one of the five sacred plants. According to this stupid logic, Sushrut, Charak must be high all the time. People should learn to make responsible use that’s all is needed. Commercial gurus have totally changed the concept of meditation just to sell it. I don’t intend to offend his followers but what he is saying now like most of the time is utter nonsense. No guru can buy moksha for you neither can any drugs or substance but I would rather smoke a joint or in my cultural way a Chillum ( as his buddy Shiva does). Again those who are going to say that Shiva also drank poison, so I should kill myself by drinking poison, I would for sure just get me Halahal. And also remember that every culture worships Shiva in a different way and in the mountains we make use of marijuana (either smoking in Chillum or drinking it) while worshiping Shiva, so this old man wants to say what my ancestors did for last 5000 years is wrong and he is right because he sells expensive yoga courses. Cut the crap man, come to the mountains and feel the presence Shiva with or without Bhang and Dhatura. Jai bholenath

There was a lady setting up edibles today at the swap meet. Parents were buying the stuff with their kids there. Then we went past a weed store, and there was a family waiting for it to open. One kid was looking in the windows and the other playing. Kids dont stand a chance.

You know I've been smoking weed for a long time and I still do my yoga practices that has been given to me over the years and I agree 💯 with sadhguru.even I'm saying to myself it's probably time for me to quit just because I've had so many experiences without the substance and have felt so good due to the yoga practices that are really don't need the substance so it becomes like a barrier to those who are trying to transcend ones imprisonment and which we call reality. I had noticed that one year when I had stopped smoking for a while I'ma say about a year actually you could notice the change within and on the outside as well as how sensitive you become to the energetic impulses of the practices😊
@virsingh5790 Says:
What a dumba**. Cocaine is not in the same class of substances as Marijuana. Alcohol is legal. Do surgeons show up for surgery drunk?

@jordiejames3552 Says:
As someone that underatands and follows sadhgurus words a lot of the time. I must ask. How does he know that hes stoned if he's never smoked weed? I agree that its more of a low feeling, stoned is a better word than high. Especially if you do a certain practice that raises your energies, the difference is very present. You get lazy, lethargic, more dull, even if other senses feel like theyre enhanced. But again, how can anyone know for that matter what being stoned is like if they haven't had anything to compare it with?
@stevenspiegel4433 Says:
I had Stage 3 2 Alpha Melanoma that nearly went terminal back in 2011 and after extensive surgery, chemotherapy for over a year, losing the ability to walk, and having chronic pain for the rest of my life I only partially agree with what he's saying. Would I want a medical professional to be high, no of course not and that's a bit extreme of a comparison to people who aren't surgeon's. I was placed on (fentanyl, morphine, opiates, anti depressants, anti nausea, anti anxiety, sleep aides, etc etc etc). Marijuana was the only thing not prescribed to me, and it's the only thing that kept me going. You try being on 10+ pharmaceutical medication's and see how you feel. Trust me it doesn't feel good, THC on the other hand subsided every single one of those condition's and made me feel somewhat normal. I'm not saying smoking is good for you, and for some can cause permanent brain chemistry alteration - but for me personally it saved my life in a way. If I continued taking all those pills, I would've committed suicide eventually. I think more medical professionals should be able to prescribe THC and stop pushing big pharmaceutical medicines anytime you explain to them you have a problem. Nonetheless Sahdguru does have a great point of view and it is valid, but not everything in life is always so black and white, humans/life is complex.

Smoking weed should be like drinking and it shouldn't govern your life and it shouldn't be in control of you, but in moderation like everything else in life it is okay.

i love you, sadhguru, but i also love my weed!! 💕 moderation in all things, yes? ☺️
@237iggy Says:
I like Sadhguru and respect him a lot , but this response is just highly politically driven and quite a stupid response LOL. Because a surgeon may come stoned? Lol then ban alcohol, cigarettes and other poisons on the planet that are far worse, where are the aggressive lobbies for that?

@SauceBoss14 Says:
If you want drugs to be regulated you have to legalize them. The cartels will continue to push unregulated drugs that end up putting people in the hospital, they can't pay the bills so the average taxpayer suffers from it.
@Ceecrystalclear Says:
But in the west alcohol is legal the system is very backwards let’s not forget it’s a herb with ( healing ) benefits we won’t talk about the spiritual side of this will we
@Ceecrystalclear Says:
But big pharmas drugs are legal ? Makes real sense
@bluestar8434 Says:
I've lost all respect for sadhguru after hearing that. He made the exact same point in the past when he was saying if he thought it was good to use marijuana and I totally agree with his point about preferring a surgeon to not be on drugs. But to use the same example to justify criminalization is insane. Advocating physical punishment and imprisonment for possessing something that grows from the ground is pure violent psychopathy.
@Tomara710 Says:

Total uneducated nonsense about the cannabis plant. Cannabis should totally be legal worldwide. One should have the freedom to put in your body whatever they want and not have the government arrest you for a nonviolent crimes.

People are being locked up in a cage for 'getting low' as Sadhguru says. His point about mental state being lowered is his own opinion too. Experiencing an altered state of mind can be the doorway for a 'normal' modern person to explore new ideas they didn't realise were possible. It opens the mind up. Perhaps for someone like him he didn't need that. Many people do benefit from it though. However even if they didn't and it was a terrible thing which only hurt them. Why then lock them in a cage for doing it? what does it achieve? who does it benefit?
@Milanvaneijk Says:
I love Sadhguru, and i am not saying he is wrong here. However, there are good (medical) reasons to legalize it. This also shows a clear cultural difference. I'm from Amsterdam // The Netherlands, it is so different how we look at it here.
@SharasEarthbuddy Says:
Drugs kills one's own life as well as nuisance for others.
@TheMrSelby Says:
there is drug testing for a reason. legalising a substance does not mean banning the testing for that substance
@parthenonx2697 Says:
Those of you making the alcohol argument obviously don't know how many of them actually drank before hand. It's a thing.
