Men, if you want to take a second woman, just start teaching your wife about biblical polygyny (one man, multiple wives). It's endorsed multiple places in the Bible. Fornication (having relations with a woman but not marrying her) is sin, dishonesty such as cheating on your wife behind her back is a sin. But there is a biblical way to go about it if you start actually reading what the Word says instead of getting all your "biblical" teaching from the mainstream church or YouTube videos.

look, God designed marriage between heterosexual couples. The adultery requirement is there because God wants there to be a partnership between the couple where they live together as "one flesh" and share their lives as a couple in union. They then reproduce and raise a family. This arrangement [including intimacy] should be an unique experience between the couple that they share only with themselves and no one else. Thus celibacy before marriage and faithfulness after marriage is the point. The idea is that intimacy should be between the married couple only. Only the tragedy of death or divorce [and that is discouraged] should result in a person experiencing intimacy with two people. Sure we have a sex drive but that should motivate us to want a partnership and share our lives with someone.
Adultery actually can be looked upon as a betrayal of your partner with whom you said you love and will remain loyal towards.
As for ancient Israel it is interesting to take note that polygamy was allowed back then under the Sinai covenant. Adultery was defined as not going with another man's wife or bedding [fornication] an unmarried girl. This is different to New Testament teaching where only one partner is allowed. Perhaps being allowed more than one wife did reduce wandering eyes outside of marriage and thus adultery.
Why only one wife or husband? The original intent was a union between only two people.

It's when a married *woman* has relations with someone other than her *husband.* And the penalty for that is technically death. But when it comes to the men, Exodus 22:16 tells us what the man is to do if he has relations with a woman who's single: he's to marry her. No caveat is given there if the man happens to be married to a wife already, as polygyny (a man having more than one wife) was endorsed various places in scripture.

Dennis Prager & perhaps all Judaism completely miss the big picture concerning adultery. But if we follow the same logic and theology of Dennis Prager, the male genitalia is the only organ in Judaism you can circumcise.
Dennis and Judaism fail, or choose not to see things spiritually or recognize that the spiritual heart of man is desperately wicked, can and does commit sin and needs circumcision and redemption. As Jesus said.
