Hey does anyone have any tips for where to meet/chat with fellow travelers/explorers? I travel a lot and am so inspired by videos like this of other people sharing my dream life in their own little worlds but id love to make those connections :)

Im from the uk and i know Switzerland has rules you really need to follow when in ths mountains camping, its not like the states where you can just do what you like regardless of the wildlife, the reason Switzerland has these awesome mountains is people follow and respect the rules that have been set. You can spend money doing this vacation yet dont want to spend money on equipment that can save your life, and you pass it of has cute, no its just stupid, these mountain huts are there for emergencies not free accommodation because you dont wanna spend the money on buying the correct stuff. It's really beautiful here, and plase visit and enjoy our country but as someone already pointed out here in the comments very well: Do plan your hikes and make sure you never overstep your experience level. And really important indeed: NEVER EVER eat berries from the ground. This is something many locals are also too wreckless with, but the fox population has like million folded in the past years and they can spread a parasite worse than your worst nightmare and it will kill you, no medicine or surgery can cure it. That being said, indeed the chances are very very small to get this, as I have lived here my whole life and I know A LOT of people and never even heard of a friend of a friend of a friend who had it. But still, since the consequences are so horrifying better just be safe.

I’m confused by the comments. R u watching the same video I am? This isn’t romanticized! They talk about their ups and downs and their failures. They consider what they should have done differently. They struggled on this trip. It was a measured risk. I’m very much like her where other people dont see the thought going into something. They only see the risk. She was prepared for whatever was to happen because what was valued for her was doing it. A measured amount of fear. A lot of u are just too scared of risk. And even after all of her struggles on this trip they found the good moments and took them. I see two very strong young women that are learning through experience. Nothing about this was romanticized. I’ve watched her videos for a long time. She learns through doing 🤷🏻♀️. In the end she struggles and ultimately learns a hard lesson. But she’s doing it and putting energy into it. Sometimes annoying but overall struggle and overcome and learn and grow and I’m here for it.

In the comments, various Swiss people warned against the danger of the mountains. Lemme give an illustration. Many years ago as a young lad, I did some hiking and climbing in Valois around La Sage. One day we were up a trail, quite easy not steep and not even that high and suddenly we come upon 3 crosses and a remembrance plate: 3 mountain rescuers had died here some years ago. I was stunned: obviously experienced guys, and they died on this easy path? I expressed my amazement to the guide we had with us. I was lucky enough to road trip through it & just the mountains & rivers I saw from that were beautiful definitely one day want to go camping 🏕️ because there’s so much beauty to see even in Austria 🇦🇹 if you have a chance you need to go there as well it’s gorgeous as well love this video!
