It’s about being behind and feeling like everyone has it figured out, they worded it so perfectly! Also I’ve learned I’d rather feel behind and that I don’t have it figured out because in my experience the people who believe they have it all figured out usually lack lots of self awareness, make rushed decisions and are largely a negative impact on their friends, family and customer service people. They are people in marriages they won’t leave, with kids they were pressured in to having too soon, careers they went in debt for and aren’t fulfilled in and have 2-300k in mortgages on a house they no longer enjoy. I’d rather feel behind and have so many choices to make for myself than be trapped in a place I thought was right for me but now know isn’t!

You might not see this comment, but we have a farm 1,5 hours east of oslo, Norway, close to the swedish border (alfheim regenerative farm here on youtube) where we grow our own food, live seasonally and try to become as self sufficient as possible. God knows that I envy you, but moreso for my daughter's sake. You 2 are the same age, & I feel you've lived sev lifetimes while she spends her days working, & then just being on the computer. We have a house in the Appalachian mtns we go to every wknd, yet she prefers to stay home. We've planted huge gardens, & I've become good at pressure canning & water bathing all our food. We have 13 chickens, which are all amazing, precious, very smart gifts from God, & the stream we have right behind the house is soo beautiful & amazing! There's just such incredible beauty all around! I'm disabled, tho, & at age 52, that really brings down my inner spirit, & I long to give my daughter an appreciation of this life before I'm too old, or unable. I don't have the $ to send her places, & she doesn't make enough, so that's my goal - figure out how to bring in some income. I'm wanting to start a crafting channel - been collecting craft supplies for yrs for this purpose, yet I've honestly been afraid of failing.
Your vids give me strength & comfort, & the motivation to want more so my daughter can experience life! I'd love for her to live as much as you do, outside herself & inside this incredible world of nature & beauty:) Technology really does sap the life out of us, & it's time for her to live a little:)

It was not lame! I visited Finnmark w/ a Swedish friend as well, and also with the objective of filming, but in the winter when the sun was NEVER up and it was equally beautiful in a totally different way. Thanks for stirring up some lovely memories!!

Honestly this kind of video is a great perspective to see. The way you capture the beauty in your life is so inspiring to me, but when I think about capturing my day to day, generally I am either just taking it easy at home or hanging at a friends house. Which I suppose is beautiful in its own way.
