But I want to give some warning for people swimming in winter. It's a bad idea to go swimming in a river in winter not because of cold but because the stream can carry you away and under the ice and it can happen quickly so nobody will be able to help. If it is a pond or lake and the stream isn't that strong it can be ok. Be careful.
