Parents around me always thought my parenting style was too playful, too open, and friendly. My boys have never given me tantrums or issues. Now I can see how my style and my husband's has actually been a gift to them. We have rules for sure, but our default mode is always to be supportive, loving, and open minded. This style of parenting really does work.
