What effect does the overall weight of the ball have on the activity? I'll LLM it but that would have been nice to evaluate or mention if or how it affects the movement and/or result and where...all things being equal.

Living in UK, it feels like all alleys I’ve been to are going down the route of string pin setters. Hate the feeling of bowling with string pins

That wide of a strike zone (2.75in) is not my experience at all. Maybe I need even more hook? Because in my experience 1.5-2 in is about all I get, and 2.5 in offset is a guaranteed 10 pin
@JimCoady Says:
I couldn't care less about bowling...until this video.
@HyungnamGu Says:
Why Left-Handers Have an Advantage:
Fresher Oil Patterns: With fewer bowlers operating on the left, oil transitions slower, meaning lefties can often stay in the same, more comfortable, spot for longer without making major adjustments.
Less "Breakdown" and "Carry-down": The heavy traffic from right-handers breaks down oil faster, creating unpredictable friction. Lefties avoid this, leading to more consistent, predictable ball hook.
Reduced Competition: In both league and tournament play, lefties often have the entire left side of the lane to themselves, whereas multiple righties might be fighting for the same oil pattern, reducing its effectiveness.
@YogSoth Says:
“Who do you think you are! I am!!!” Legendary moment.
@djorphic Says:
Pete Weber is nothing without oil. You can tell it in his face. To him, it's not "bowling," it's oiling.

In the days of the old rubber balls, I knew many excellent bowlers, and none had ever bowled 300. Now, kids and teens have done it.

So essentially, outside of the particular oil pattern on any given lane, people who bowl straight strike out based on the luck of where the pins go..?
