Our printed version is also completely defined in CAD now and I am happy to say we will start printing the parts soon. I have also ordered all the OTS component that go into it.
Looking forward to seeing the mockups side by side!
For the viewers: we have purposefully changed some things around for the printed variant to see if those solutions work. If they do they could offer some benefits over the rocker lock in between the blades because the lock in the printed version allows the blades to be much closer together and thus less off center in their own grips.
For the printed design we have also relocated the ball retention to be housed inside the Tsubas (most meat in the grip and also best held together there due to the screws being close to the retention turret.

Unfortunately you've confirmed my suspicion, this is useless. A hollow handle knife is already a bad idea, but this design compromises integrity even more. I'd rather buy a regular knife than break this carving wood and hurt myself, or worse yet, someone else.
