Another very interesting occurrence of the number 37: In machine learning, ensemble methods are a type of models that combine simpler models to improve performance. An example is a random forest, which combines several decision trees and aggregates their predictions to reduce the high variance of each tree. We have N unique training points, we create B decision trees, and we train each of them with a set of N elements sampled with replacement from the available training. This is essentially bootstrapping. When we do so, on average, 63% of the unique data points in the original training set are sampled in each of the B bootstrapped set. This means that, on average, 37% of the data is not sampled, and can thus be used to estimate the true error of the model. This is called out-of-bag error estimation. The reason for this is fairly simple, but intriguing. Essentially each data point in the original dataset has a (1 – 1/N) chance of not being picked in a single draw. This probability remains constant since the sampling is done with replacement. So, the probability that a given data point is never chosen after the N draws is (1-1/N)^N. The limit of this thing as N tends to infinity is 1/e ≈ 0.368, so about 37% of the original dataset ends up not being sampled in each bootstrap sample.

If you build a square like the calculator without the zero, in the 1st row 7,8,9 in the 2nd 4,5,6 and in the 3th row 1,2,3 if write: 321123 and do the same thing with the 2nd row 456654 and then the 3th row and surprise: each of them are divisible by 37. If you do the same thing with the first column 741147 and the second column 852258 and the 3th column 963369 also are divisible by 37. it’s works with the diagonals too.

I've always been attracted towards 3 and 7 separately because on a scale of 1 2 (3) 4 5 6 (7) 8 9 "all single diget numbers" 3 and 7 land evenly spaced. I think this is honestly the easiest assumption of why we as pattern recognition machines draw towards it even if it's subconscious.

🙏 Please answer this question If the earth revolve around the sun why do we see the same constellation throughout the year because if the earth revolve around the sun, after 6 month the earth will be on the other side of the orbit turning its face to the opposite side then we won't be able to see stars on the other sides

@albinabel9885 Says:
@veritasium Just a coincidence? If a probability of a event is 1/n then it not occurs is 1-p power n i.e 1- (1/n) power n which approximates the inverse of the mathematical constant e i.e 1/e = 0.3679. That rounds to 37%. So the trials explained in the video may follow that chance that 37% we discard and then value the next events.
