What a shame. Don't destroy the computer, give it away.

Copper arsenate was extremely popular in the Victorian era for wallpaper. Those homes were often kept with windows closed due to pollution. A lot of malaise which would disappear when they went to the shore.

@leewm.gaudry3770 Says:
Maybe the pulsing is as oxygen is released from the rust and is then consumed by the reaction as more grains of rust are heated to reaction temp?

That's good to know, termite can melt through steel beams. I thought it was only jet fuel that could...
@gbear1005 Says:
Isn't the aluminum dust/powder ALREADY an oxide at room temp and pressure?
@gedgar2000 Says:
I don’t know whether anyone will see this, but there is a rather incredible reaction involving Thermite that Myth Busters even investigated — and confirmed it. There was a video posted online of Thermite being put on a big block of ice. The molten metal melts into the ice — as expected — and as it gets deep inside there is a tremendous explosion which shatters the block, sending pieces of ice everywhere. Myth Busters set it up, thinking the original poster put an explosive charge in the ice or something, and their block exploded, and they were lucky they had a shield. Here’s why I’m writing this: They had some theories about what was causing the explosion, but they didn’t really know.

Is the pulsing due to the staged releases of the O from the metal oxide to the Au?
@chromefone Says:
3 questions ?
1) How rich are these guys?
Like everyone watching who has been on a train ride. Has 100 % ran over at least 1 of their welds.
Considering the international popularity of Ve this is mind blowing.
2) What is the cost of their slow burn blocks compared to the heat released over the burn time?
3) How slow can they make these solid block burn.
P.S. Hope you took the Li-ion battery off the laptop !
Absolutely Fantastic video

This is why I'm a Metallurgist. Imagine 150tonnes of this stuff coming out of the back of a furnace lire Niagra falls on fire. Breathtaking, every single time.
There were blokes at the steelworks I worked at who'd been tapping furnaces for 30 years, and they still stopped what they were doing to watch.

Makes me think of the breaking bad episode where they make thermite from an 'etch a sketch' in Jesse's garage to break into the chemical warehouse to get their methylamine.
