The fact that NASA deliberately crashed Galileo into Jupiter in 2003 just to avoid any risk of contaminating Europa is kind of insane. We took the possibility of life there seriously enough to sacrifice the entire spacecraft. And that was 20 years ago!

I want to be wrong, but I am fairly confident we won't find life on Europa. The energy budget from tidal heating from Jupiter and the tugs from the other three large Gallilean moons just isn't enough.
And, when people point to Earth's extremophile organisims and biospheres, like deep-sea vents, they're usually working backwards. They aren't considering that life there arrived from much gentler environments on Earth and adapted over time. Especially the complex multicellular life in these places on Earth, like the tube worms & arthropods/crustaceans.
They started out in something more like the stereotypical "tide pool" then worked their way to the extreme environments over millions, if not billions of years.
And the most complex species like the shrimp around deep-sea vents absolutely did not evolve there, then colonize the Earth's oceans eveywhere else. Nor did they evolve there in parallel.
Newer technology like DNA analysis indicates that life didn’t start down there, then spread outwards to the "easy places."
That's not to say this proves it's 100% impossible, but is a strong hint that something like this is extremely unlikely.
