I used to work at lowes, I still do, but I used to, too. Our forklift forks were often dragged on concrete in outside garden such that the ends of them become razor sharp over the years. One time somebody left the fork up, and as I walked around an isle corner, my arm brushed along it. I didn't even realize until I had blood everywhere, because the cut was so clean. Immediately went to the adhesives isle, grabbed some super glue and glued the wound shut instead of getting stitches. It healed perfectly.

One time in my shop class i was super glueing a cracked plastic timing cover, the bottle ends up exploding all over my hands, i tried to immediately spray break clean to get it off but then ended up vaporizing causing it to immediately dry all the glue to my hand. Worst time ever. Shredded my skin off getting it off!

Fun fact: I found out that super glue will NOT solidify on an eyeball because the eyeball stays moist. The nurse used a Q tip to pull, the most glue he's seen, out of my eyeball. I tried to rub it out first and my finger stuck to my eyelid for a quick second

Once bought a small tube to glue my son’s scalp when camping at the beach: cut it on a surfboard fin. Not medical grade.
Use it myself for minor finger cuts: close with Mefix tape reinforced with Superglue.
Colleague once glued some Suture forceps with medical grade: soaked in Acetone overnight freed it up.

7:34 @veritasium I have Crohn's disease in every winter my skin cracks and this year I went to my family doctor and I showed him for the first time and told him that my skin just dries out and I have the super glue the cracks in the fold of my fingers sometimes anywhere make a lot of it has to do with how many times I wash my hands a day because I use the bathroom a lot but my doctor is on the bigger opinion that it is my Crohn's that is creating the splits in my skin but either way it's coming from Crohn's disease he says and he asked what that thick substance on my hands were and I told him that it's super glue the original super glue brand they sell it at the Dollar tree stores in the bottle even says the original super glue which shows and image of the truck being picked up while a sketched image it's by far in my opinion the best super glue but I use it on the cuts and I'll put layers on it if I don't do this it takes forever for the split to heal and it hurts tremendously so I will build up the super glue and then on both sides of where the split is after about 4 to 5 days that split will heal and it kind of thick skin I have on the palm side of my hand and I'll clip the extra skin off with some clippers and usually it will treat it sometimes I have to reapply it and then do it again but a normal split in my hand untreated can take months to heal where if I put the super glue on it will heal within two and a half to three weeks but in between that time I don't have that tremendously annoying pain of even touching something because moving my joints were these slits are killed if you want my email contact me privately and I can give it to you if you would like to know more thank God my Band-Aid otherwise I would not have one and who knows how many splits I would have on the palm side of my hand

The medical concern was literally the cyanide aspect of cyanoacrylate! A report spread of someone re-cementing a post crown in as a DIY fix . They subsequently presented to A&E with kidney failure and the superglue was identified as the source of poison .
