please tell me that the 80 million dollar buddget was spent mostly on launching and landing this thing on mars, because the helicopter itself was designed like a student project that had to use off-the-shelf components and a cost of less than 5000 dollars. Android phone components, apparent lack of redundancy, low-tech navigation cameras, Li-ion battery from a drill. Honestly huge props to the engineers for so competently working within those limits, but I am struggling to understand how 80 million dollars bought a drone that is only marginally more complex than a nice quadcopter
