What do you do if your blade becomes stuck in something? The way you're holding it seems like an eye hazard, especially if you're wearing it while doing something else with your hands. I prefer my knives to be safe when I'm not using them.

Gues it would count as some knuckle weapon then and not a knife then.

One of these could be really useful paired with a spear, since spears can get broken or quite easily be rendered useless if the opponent gets too close to you. With a knife like this, you can use the spear as normal and then just drop the spear and use the knife as a close combat weapon when necessarry.

I would change the fingerholds, the pink and middlefinger and not the best for punching so indexfinger and ringfinger seems better for the outerpart of the snake. Problem may be the cutting part for a knife use but sure looks good for a knife fight lol

Frankly I would be concerned that the knife will break at the tang, even being metal. I could see others point when discussing finger pain but I can't imagine it being worse than knuckled knives where your figures are much more locked in. As always I love and appreciate the engineering Joerg!
