Starlink Mission

????

SpaceX is targeting Sunday, May 14 at 1:03 a.m. ET (05:03 UTC) for a Falcon 9 launch of 56 Starlink satellites to low-Earth orbit from Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida. If needed, there are additional launch opportunities the same day at 2:44 a.m. ET (06:44 UTC), and 4:25 a.m. ET (8:25 UTC). Backup opportunities are also available on Monday, May 15 at 12:38 a.m. ET (04:38 UTC), 2:19 a.m. ET (06:19 UTC), and 4:00 a.m. ET (08:00 UTC). The first stage booster supporting this mission previously launched CRS-22, Crew-3, Turksat 5B, Crew-4, CRS-25, Eutelsat HOTBIRD 13G, mPOWER-a and three Starlink missions. Following stage separation, the first stage will land on the Just Read the Instructions droneship, which will be stationed in the Atlantic Ocean. A live webcast of this mission will begin about five minutes prior to liftoff.

V+ 8:50: Blab-blab ends. Would be great if we had downlights on Stage 1 during nightime descents. Dual-screen and telemetry losses are annoying. 'Transonic' is "[crossing to below] the speed of sound."

Wasn't this the 200th successful landing of a booster? If not I know it's close!

SpaceX, can we get the video of a FH center core reentry and crash/splashdown?

With every Starlink launch, I get closer to actually getting my satellite package delivered to me. Can’t wait.

At 5:25 you say: "... As a reminder, Falcon 9 is a reusable 2 stage rocket..." Not completely right. You should say: "... Falcon 9 is a 2 stage rocket in which the 1st stage is reusable..." Here to help you.

2 question for anyone who might know: (1) regarding MaxQ, how do they measure "stress on the vehicle?" Are there actual sensors measuring pressure on the rocket's surface? (2) At its maximum, how long is that glowing trail of exhaust fire from the Raptor engines as it travels through the atmosphere? Thank you!
@AmericanPsycho73 Says:
I bet these SpaceX videos have inspired so many kids to become future rocket scientists. Over the last several years, the fascination with rocket science has really.... taken off.

Watch out SpaceX...some countries want to steal your technology....they never created anything ...just stealing.

Interesting that they use such variation in the count down.
@paulgage7495 Says:
With the re-use feature the Falcon 9 is definitely doing much better than ULA on being best prepared for the future.

I finally saw them! I trail of about 30 little lights streaking overhead in the night sky in a perfect line. This was last week in Georgia, USA. Of course it was a train of Starlink satellites, but it was also the coolest thing I've seen in the night sky in a long time. It only took them about 20 seconds to go from horizon to horizon (what I could see of it) as they were moving. Too cool!!!

@ai6mk897 Says:
Just a comment. When you advertise the launch time/date on Youtube as an upcoming event I believe the time is UTC, but you never specify that. I've noticed that SpaceX has been reducing the coverage, especially deployment of StarLink Satellites. My preference is to eliminate the commentary and instead just give us the video/timeline and listening to the NET. The engineering is awesome and the operation is very professional. I would love to see a video of how a booster is recovered and refurbished to make it ready for launch.

I'm sure everybody by now knows how it works. Can we suggest thirdparty narrators at this point? I know a professor from England who'd be the perfect narrator. He would say things like: "Whelp, the vehicle is hurling downrange.", "Max Q is twice the speed of a Gloster Meteor, or three times the speed of a Spitfire", "Lovely view of the second-stage engine chugging along"
@JosephLang-j3x Says:
I used to watch it on FB. You no longer stream on it? I don't even get notifications?
