Iridium OneWeb Mission

Iridium OneWeb Mission

????

SpaceX is targeting Saturday, May 20 at 6:16 a.m. PT (13:16 UTC).) for launch of the Iridium OneWeb mission to a low-Earth orbit from Space Launch Complex 4 East (SLC-4E) at Vandenberg Space Force Base in California. The Falcon 9 first stage booster supporting this mission previously launched Sentinel-6 Michael Freilich, DART, Transporter-7, and seven Starlink missions. After stage separation, the first stage will land on the Of Course I Still Love You droneship, which will be stationed in the Pacific Ocean. A live webcast of this mission will begin about 15 minutes prior to liftoff.

its the second time I see a short engine nozzle for the second stage, I'm sure there is a reason for it but I must've missed it. can someone tell me why is that. ? :D thank you and I hope you have a nice day
@vladnickul Says:
is it true that from space you cannot see the slave labor of china?
@Pintuuuxo Says:
Wonderful footage! The ignition of the second stage was beautiful; the tracking camera is so very good that from T+02:20 till T+02:33 the image seems to be stopped. Even the fog didn't jeopardize the show. I read some of the comments and some of the guys want to see an entry of the 2nd stage. 😍 Well, if the camera had a heat shield...

I would never have guessed the booster could do over 10 launches!!!
@pwned2ice Says:
Why is the nozzle on the second stage shorter than usual?
@ilmarinen79 Says:
Has the 2nd stage engine nozzle been shortened? It looks different.
@travelingtophe Says:
What happens to the second stage once the sats are deployed? Still up there? Comes back and lands? Burns up in reentry?
@aofgrant Says:
Another polished performance with gorgeous footage. Thank you for taking us along time and time again!
@michaelshortland8863 Says:
One thing i do not understand is why the display is in Kilometers per hour but the narrator talks about miles per hour?? it might be better if the two were in sink.
@I_dont_want_an_at Says:
you got a lot of nerve flying over Russia. They would pop you out of the sky like a hawk grabbing a fly. Just kidding, Russia loves rockets. They aren't mad
@I_dont_want_an_at Says:
The fact is, normal interesting people don't find rockets interesting. They completely ignore rockets. Only strange nerds get hard ons for rockets. These are objective facts
@I_dont_want_an_at Says:
Only boring nerds like rockets
@I_dont_want_an_at Says:
rockets are so awful.
@peterpovey3232 Says:
Another example of “rocket scientists” getting the job done. Professional and brilliant.

I guess soon enough there'll be so much starlink space junk in the skies that night time will be day time.
@NFlight-Technologies Says:
If you are going to narrate using MPH, it would help if the telemetry showed the same so it doesn't require the mental gymnastics.
@conservitiveboomer8229 Says:
You would think they could invent windshield wipers for the cameras.
@kevinwees5707 Says:
I totally missed the Space X launch today
@xyle3141 Says:
Can you add the range from launchsite as well? Next to the altitude, give us a better idea of how getting to orbit is more about going sideways than up.
@RWBHere Says:
Thanks SpaceX. Beautifully done! Some superb views there, too. 🙂👍
