As a an engineer involved in the creation of some of these things, I can say Zack is spot on about who trains these systems. However, the people that administer real life systems will, in cases where it matters e.g university admissions will only use AI as much as it's useful. As well, more and more of us, who are engineers and software professionals and are also black, have recognized the issues and are doing what we can.
