To be honest Ghana can do what they want . What i worry about is Ghanians who may be lgbt being targeted for violence. This will be sad. What I think Ghana are arguing for is that lgbt should not trump Ghana values. In order to assert itself they have paased this law. Ghana is a third world country that still relies on handouts! It is not the United Arab Emiratesi or Saudi Arabia. The truth is all of these hypocritical countries probably have more, gays than any countries in the west. Many of the gay men are married to women, but keep at least one male companions on the side.

Personally, I am sure that ones sexuality is determined at birth. I did not make a decision to be straight. One of my cousin son is gay, and two are not. The gay one has been feminine from birth. Human nature is to take the path of least resistance. No one would choose to be gay in Uganda. They are gay because they were born that way.
Homosexuality is not an African tradition. I get that. In fact, homosexuality has never been any country tradition. Nevertheless, we learn to accept people for who they are, without agreeing to their lifestyle.
Finally, it is cowardly to pick on the marginalised. We hate the gays but admire and respect corrupt politicians who are destroying lives. We do not fight against this, but when it comes to gay people, we have no problem punching down. Protecting gay rights is actually protecting your own rights.
