I am an African-American of Senegambia descent. My ancestors were Djola and they lived in Casamance which is in southern Senegal. They have been in conflict with Senegal for 40 years. So yes, Senegal is peaceful but there is indeed major conflict in the region.

Anyway my view, is he doesn't have to be royal to Sonko , he has to be royal to Senegalese. The best he can do for Sonko is to pardon him , maybe give him a ministerial post . If they are for the people ( Faye and Sonko) they can rotate the presidency between them , just like in Russia.

The second runner up in the election was Amadou ba, he also was a tax inspector but on the contrary he's a billionaire through corruption. Amadou ba would audit a company that ows 140 billions cfa ($290millions)in taxes, he would make it pay 14 billions($29millions) and he would pocket 2 billions cfa. That kind of act is straight up corruption. Faye would never be corrupted because he isn't motivated by money or power, in fact he's broke and ows over $82,000 through loans he took out.
