The issue with SA are the laws that release crooks after a few days since prisons are full and a Police Minister that doesn't want civilians to own guns without exceptional circumstances meaning 90% of society can't rely on self defense. This has created an environment of a harmless society and a playground for crooks. I remember in the nineties when gun ownership wasn't an issue and things were MUCH better. The ANC with its backwards thinking is responsible and society is begging them to own guns of which they deny. There's a greater force at play because a government who ignores a crisis is likely responsible for it. Once the ANC loses power, things will definitely improve.

Jail time is slack in South Africa, and the punishment is not severe enough. In South Africa, going to jail is like going on leave and you will be back in no time. A country whose citizens cannot own a gun or shoot in self-defense. A country where a private security officer cannot shoot without getting in trouble. A messed-up criminal system

The government does not support youth they can go to university when they done no job for them and they ended up staying at home and they will be getting 350 to support themselves and because ANC it's been control by the white people and our president doesn't have power much to do what's right for the people of South Africa ❤

My number one reason is THE CONSTITUTION of the country. it gives too much rights to the criminal than the victim.

The sad side: They are black people killing other fellow people, the few time I went to Joburg I was always afraid whenever I had to jump to the street, you never know if you will go back home. I think the private security sector is a gold mining in South Africa I wonder who own those companies and if they really protect or entice the crime.
@Definalsay Says:
Those are the useless youths that live thier lives with no goals and also won't work and achieve something for themselves. It's very sad 😔. This are also some of the consequences of unemployment and laziness in our African countries.
@JR_Dlamini Says:
Advice. you drive a VW in South Africa you are begging for trouble
@MUKELO.AUDIO_GROUP Says:
Services are so bad in our townships .very bad .
@MUKELO.AUDIO_GROUP Says:
Poverty causes this crime, as the yourh, we're unemployed, so many of my peers would do crime in order to make a living.
@hillieduvalier Says:
Corruption i think is one of the main reasons .. when u look at countries where guns are being manufactured are being flooded with gun... guns was ship in a barrel to my country and no one was charge... turning a once peace ful country into a war zone. I do believe government do profits from crime
@Da_Spiritualist Says:
South Africa system is still under white supremacy, therefore, that ignorant mentality is still there. The government should prioritise poverty and also education. The people have been brainwashed to be violent since the white people colonised the country.
@vonniofdoom5590 Says:
Even the black people with a level of power and money still acknowledge their overlords in Brussels and Washington, I don’t blame them at all no, cuz the only reason they have power is because the other people who look like them keep them there

Looking from the outside it's usually the shortage of resources.

In the US blacks are wrongfully convicted seven times the rate of whites. I guess you've never heard of just us.
@tumimphasane1789 Says:
Zack. Once again. You have hit a nail on the head. Its true. They level of crime in South Africa is beyond control. Heinous crimes like murder, rape & car hijacking are on the raise everyday. The law turn to protect perpetrators through our weak systems. Lack of law enforcement and communities that support criminality. ie buying stolen goods because they are cheap. This has never always been the case. We used to be peaceful people even under our oppressors. Reality is this can be controlled if our government really cared. Take a case of Worlds Cup in 2010. Crime was almost non-existent.

Bra Zack out of all the languages that you know you chose to speak FACTS
@brightonndlovu6293 Says:
Zack I'll tell you that the biggest reason is weak law enforcement, the easy availability of illegal weapons and the influx of undocumented immigrants.

I know people don't want to hear this but it is mean reason. South African borders are too open for criminals from Europe, Africa, especially from nearby countries. We have few policemen on the ground

Ours is a peculiar problem.. I think it's historical in nature and I feel it goes back to the culture of hostels where men became detached from family
@ridwanbanwo4522 Says:
Sad story 😭😭😭 Bro, Zack the quality of your sound is dope🫡
@UnitedAfrica-rd3hn Says:
I think because South Africa 🇿🇦 never faced brutal civil wars like any other countries in Africa could be the reason for crime, the other reason is that inequality does play a role for the crime, listen to some of the corrupt politicians would say whites have done it during their time and criminal are saying we didn’t hijack or steal from the blacks, during the 1990 and 1994 most people start to get violent as a result of of white police men were giving certain political parties guns or criminals guns to intentionally kill innocent people trying to reduce the number of certain political party most people died in KZN even Nelson decided that we cannot wait anymore then decided elections to be on the 27th April 1994.
@katlegochid Says:
you are right government in sa satanism in on the high in the south african government
@gillbersth6853 Says:
Yea Zack you are right. Actually poverty contributes to high crime is SA. Uganda or any other country poverty is not a crime factor but here it is. That us why there is gangs who rob to steal to survive. Otherwise ask the foreigners who are in/from jail today.
@mthethelelinicholasmlungu4140 Says:
Zack My Guy the security industry in South Africa is now worth over ZAR 50 billion, and that is held by the private sector, ask yourself who's benefiting the most and also ask yourself who's Suffering the most, the crime in South Africa is a business for the wealthy south Africans, south African criminals are just pawns to this business only benefiting few %, if we can just nationalis the security industry let the security work with police and the community,

@ananmai8700 Says:
Countries that have a Prison profit Crime & accused Crime, LAST down by the Governments.
@TiisetsoNCSeeko Says:
It's is not conicedance that crime is increasing in RSA. Citizens like to blame it on migrants but, harsh reality Sterling them in the eye is 1. Increased fatherless in their children upbringing 2. 63% of children born out of wedlock and have no father involved in their development. 3. Embracing the alphabet society 4. Poverty. With limited resources, comes the mentality of survival of the fittest.
