The DART mission is a test of a technique that could be used to mitigate the threat of an asteroid on a collision course with Earth should one be discovered in the future. DART's target is not a threat to Earth. While no known asteroid larger than 140 meters in size has a significant chance to hit Earth for the next 100 years, only about 40 percent of those asteroids have been found as of October 2021.
I'm ready to cut every penny of nasa's funding. Now they just want to put a transgender of color on the moon. It's not even for research and is a complete waste of money that does nothing for America.

I have a couple of questions please:
1. Is the orbital plane of dimorphos aligned with the Earth? Is'nt this an important criteria for earth-observers to see the periodic dip in light to access the result of the impact?
2. To be sure that the impact doesn't set the moonlet spinning , we have to strike it in line with its CG... (if I am right) then how was this determined ? Thank you :)

Is NASA choosing to be 10 years late with the DART like they are landing on the moon. NASA is choosing to waste Artemis 2 by not attempting to land on the moon.
