Earhardt sounds like a prick, from pushing the president to spend tax money building a remote runway for her personal use during the great depression, to refusing to take basic safety measures like bringing survival gear to making easily avoidable mistakes. Sounds like she annoyed the one competent person on the crew so much that he walked out, to disastrous results.

Now after this current 2026 documentary, after 86 years 1937-2026, we realize with new Facts and evidence, what really happened to Amelia Earhart.
A skilled pilot would never do what she did. Totally ignorant and incompetent.
She consistently ignored vital important safety net back-up duties to essentially save the plane, herself and her co-pilot.
Error, after error and mistakes after mistakes.
Her around the world flight should of never been approved. Who ever sponsored it or financed it.
Even her husband was negligent letting her go on this dangerous flight.
She was not properly trained in navigation maneuvers and Morse Code.
Also very Naive and incompetent in navigation expertise. Constantly bad decisions after bad decisions.
Thank you all involved in making a very insightful and informative documentary about the True story of Amelia Earhart.

This is a really great video that gave me a whole new perspective. Even as a amateur radio operator, I wasn't aware of the radio's role in this event. I'll recommend this video to anyone I know that's interested in radio technology and history.
In air plane disasters when analyzing pilot errors, they use the term "get-there-itis" as a form of plan contiuation bias. The tunnel vision focus causes them to make mistakes that can be fatal. Clearly it seems Earhart and Putnam were suffering from this.

I appreciate the science provided to explain the confusion in the radio communication. But I’m convinced she transmitted for three nights after her “official” last transmission to Itasca. She landed that plane on Gardner island. I believe Ric Gillespie of TIGHAR has the closest evidence of her final days.
