Dont use wd40 on hinges, you will be re-applying it in a month. Use a non carbon based lubricant like tri flow or 3 in 1 oil. It will last so much longer.

I really enjoy following your adventures. My daughter and son-in-law have Airbnb's in Boone, NC. I've helped them on theirs some. Maybe you put an ottoman with storage and not a coffee table so it can be put in the corner when the sofa bed is being used. Maybe games, books of the area as well as themed Knick knacks in the random shelves. Definitely a set of drawers for the silverware, maybe a few necessary cooking trays or utensils for the MW and oven. Just a few thoughts. Thanks for the entertainment.

How about a take something leave something shelf. Put three things in the shelves. Not real expensive. Like a coffee mug, small towel, kids toy...
Then guests get to leave a little something of theirs having stayed their like a deck of cards or an ornament or framed photo...
Put parameters on it and paper explaining the purpose of the crates
