Transporter-5 Mission

Transporter-5 Mission

????

SpaceX is targeting Wednesday, May 25 for a Falcon 9 launch of Transporter-5 to low-Earth orbit from Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida. The 57-minute launch window opens at 2:27 p.m. ET, or 16:27 UTC. A backup opportunity is available on Thursday, May 26, with the same launch window. Falcon 9 will fly along Florida's eastern coast over the ocean and may be visible from the ground. Falcon 9's first stage booster previously launched Crew-1, Crew-2, SXM-8, CRS-23, IXPE, one Starlink mission, and Transporter-4. After stage separation, Falcon 9 will return to Earth and land on Landing Zone 1 (LZ-1) at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. Transporter-5 is SpaceX's fifth dedicated smallsat rideshare mission. On this flight are 59 spacecraft, including CubeSats, microsats, non-deploying hosted payloads, and orbital transfer vehicles. A live webcast of this mission will begin about 10 minutes prior to liftoff.

Hey Elon, I was in the US Army and would love to be of the first people to put foot on Mars. I was diagnosed with a pituitary tumor that was unsuccessfully removed so I do not know how much longer I will be of use to Mankind. I scored so high on the military entrance test and finished in half the allotted time, so they thought I was cheating and made me take it again under close observation. I scored higher the second time and finished even faster. I would only ask two things in return for my service. 1.) Let me get one of your electric cars to use until I leave. (I sold my vehicles so that I don't run anyone over if I pass out from the tumor.) 2.) Build a library and name it after me when I die. EyE SEE YOU ⚡👁⚡

What's amazing to me is that you can just see and almost feel how fast the 1st stage is going as it's about 15km in altitude upon landing. It's still going so incredibly fast, but man, how amazing is that!!! Great job SpaceX!!!!!

yes that landing still amazes

It must be noted that my embarrassing oversight mentioned below would have rightfully gotten me replaced immediately at SpaceX. "Turn in your ID badge and walk out through that gate. Your final check will be mailed." lol I have spent all of this time paying attention to what SpaceX has achieved while not noticing if water spray still had to be utilized during ignition and lift-off. This is my first time noticing the shower heads so to speak. Hey, SpaceX lands rockets VERTICALLY, from ORBIT! It wouldn't have been entirely unbelievable to discover the sound wave problem had been solved in the process. lol
