CRS-25 Mission

CRS-25 Mission

????

SpaceX is targeting Thursday, July 14 for Falcon 9's launch of its 25th Commercial Resupply Services (CRS-25) mission to the International Space Station. Liftoff is targeted for 8:44 p.m. ET, or 00:44 UTC on July 15, from Launch Complex 39A (LC-39A) at Kennedy Space Center in Florida. A backup launch opportunity is available on Friday, July 15 at 8:18 p.m. ET, or 00:18 UTC on July 16. This is the fifth flight of the first stage booster supporting this mission, which previously supported CRS-22, Crew-3, Turksat 5B, and Crew-4. Following stage separation, Falcon 9's first stage will land on the A Shortfall of Gravitas droneship in the Atlantic Ocean. The Dragon supporting this mission previously supported CRS-21 and CRS-23. Approximately twelve minutes after liftoff, Dragon will separate from Falcon 9's second stage and dock to the space station on Saturday, July 16 at 11:20 a.m. ET, 15:20 UTC. A live webcast of this mission will begin about 20 minutes prior to liftoff.

Hey Elon, I was in the US Army and would love to be of the first people to put foot on Mars. I was diagnosed with a pituitary tumor that was unsuccessfully removed so I do not know how much longer I will be of use to Mankind. I scored so high on the military entrance test and finished in half the allotted time, so they thought I was cheating and made me take it again under close observation. I scored higher the second time and finished even faster. I would only ask two things in return for my service. 1.) Let me get one of your electric cars to use until I leave. (I sold my vehicles so that I don't run anyone over if I pass out from the tumor.) 2.) Build a library and name it after me when I die. EyE SEE YOU ⚡👁⚡

No one can get on a rocket, no one can leave the earth, no one can go to space and float there because space doesn't exist. I bet twenty years from now they're still playing this game of throwing rockets into the ocean.

There two parts to the Dragon Cargo Capsule, the Dragon Cargo Capsule, and the Trunk. The Dragon Cargo Capsule carries pressurized cargo, and the Trunk carries unpressurized cargo. How does the unpressurized cargo make its way into the ISS? Or if its not used internally in the ISS, where does it go and how does the unpressurized cargo get taken out of the trunk?

So fantastic! They are always the same but I never get tired of seeing this. Maybe after the 1000th launch I’ll stop watching. You hear that SpaceX, after 1000 I’m done, so take your pick, them or me!
@TurkyTom Says:
Curious why do a boostback if not to a land landing? I assume just too much energy, not enough fuel to make it all the way back. I further assume this saves cost on travel time on the barge, but I would have thought the added complexity of the flight would have caused SpaceX to opt for the more simplistic flight plan. Is this a change due to growing confidence in the systems? That the added risk was minimal vs the cost savings it provided? Can we expect to see more boostback launches in the future? And finally... is it REALLY just for cost savings? or is it because you know we REALLY really LOVE to watch the boostback burns!

Their launch coverage is always above the rest. I do have one complaint though. STOP GOING AWAY FROM THE TRACKING CAMERA DURING STAGING!!! I have seen the interstage separate enough. This launch was a twilight ascent and would have provided some beautiful images from the ground.
