apple what are you doing?!
@karbee0 Says:
Well... Apple and Visa both are actually telling the truth here... Their revenue is much larger than these fraudlent transactions.... they would simply refund if such a dispute is reported instead of investing on making technical changes that would not be so easy and quick.. instead it could be adjusted among future upcoming changes.... specifically fixing this vulnurabiltiy seems more expensive to them maybe... which is kinda truth.

This is why its stupid to have your main bank apps on your phone. There's always gonna be some way to abuse it! And banks are forcing users to put everything on their fcking phones, including savings accounts. Idiotic! Only install an app from the bank where you only send money for daily payments.

Most of us don't have 10k. In fact, I lost my wallet and I didn't even report is missing. If they tried to use my credit card, I would be arrested for giving them access to overdrawn accounts.

Hello! I'm a small content creator from Ghana. I currently create all my videos using an Infinix phone, and your content has helped me improve my skills and stay motivated. One of my biggest challenges is camera quality, especially when recording educational and creative content. My goal is to keep growing and producing better videos for my audience despite the limitations of my current device. If you ever run a giveaway, creator support program, or have an opportunity to help upcoming creators, I would be incredibly grateful to be considered. Thank you for the value you share and for inspiring creators around the world.

Perhaps the only response that will persuade Visa to take this vulnerability seriously is for customers to stop using Visa cards. Visa’s response was irresponsible and misleading. Its representative relied on statistics about how uncommon this particular attack supposedly is to justify not fixing a known security weakness. He then broadened the issue into the claim that no company can eliminate every possible form of fraud. That is sophistry. Nobody asked Visa to eliminate every possible form of fraud. The question was why it has not made the technical changes needed to eliminate this specific, demonstrated vulnerability. Refunding customers after an unauthorized transaction is not an adequate substitute for preventing the transaction when the weakness is already known. Visa should fix this one.
@gredfeorge912 Says:
The argument from Michael Jabbara at the end of the video in my view misses totally the point. You have a known vulnerability that can be addressed. Just because it has not been a large epidemic security and fraud issue does not mean it can get to it. The customer in the end will still need to proof that this transaction was fraudulent, which is quite a bit of a process and they have to fear that their request is actually declined by Visa. Visa cannot claim to get 100% of these requests correct. And this known flaw is preventable now. He only argues that is does not make financial sense for Visa. But Visa is not the party directly harmed by this vulnerability. It is the user/customer in the end.

@thelanelesstravelled-2 Says:
Visa is saying it is not economic to make the technical changes and you will get your money back. Unless this fraud put their costs up above 2 cents per 100 dollars they will just absorb it as the cheaper option. The technical upgrades will cost more than the refunds. So the fraudster will win. So says crime doesn’t pay?
@shinytan Says:
The problem is always on NFC in Apple phones

I knew there was a reason I refuse to use any Apple product. From earphones to laptops & Desktop computers, they are all suspicious & corrupt as far as I'm concerned. The last product that was even close to being an Apple product was a Apple ][e clone. How long ago was that. I put Microsoft in the same category but it will take a few years for the EU to clone the MS ecosystem.

Who tf keeps the tap to pay constantly on? -_-
@DerK3BAP Says:
The difference to airline accidents is that people literally die there and no one can give them their lives back. Thats why they do everything they can to prevent that from happening. But if Visa says they give you a refund if such a fraud happens to you, i think thats fine because no real damage is done in the end.
