I remember a video that came years ago that you also saw. About a guy making “bullets” for a crossbow, during the release of the projectile it would make them spin, making it the first crossbow shooting bullets. I think it would be very interesting to explore again

Neat concept, but I can't imagine any bit of accuracy with a flat flight.
How's this for a crazy idea - create a "bladebolt" that has locking pop-out fins. When hand throwing, the fins stay locked in and you throw it with a normal (center balanced) rotation. When fired from a crossbow, there's a mechanism that unlocks the fins as it exits, causing it to spin (about its axis) like a more traditional crossbow bolt.
