@petmensan Says:
Norway is also white AF.
@SkaffaS Says:
to Norwegian standards these cells are horrible compared to the living standards in Norway. so i can see how Americans think this is redicilous when they themselves see a norwegian cell as something they could comfortably live in, because their lives are generally that more shittier.

First time I've come across something where I disagree quite a bit with you. I agree that the motive, reasoning behind much of what's going on is maligned and there are some things I think they've gone a bit iffy on. Having said that, I don't like the idea of festering, cramped torture cells being used to house people who then have to deal with that trauma next door to me. There are also a host of crimes that people shouldn't be released for (without a damn good and just reason).

This looks like minimum security in Victoria
@malazoidmtg757 Says:
If the US had prisons like that, 13/52 would become 13/99
@cramyt Says:
One of the lowest reoffending in the world... taking the piss when they’re doing something right lmfaooo
@gooner72 Says:
If you've been given to a custodial sentence, especially a maximum security prison, then it should be a shit hard place to be.
@ZeroRules Says:
Oh, if people from other countries travel there and commit crimes, will we, I mean they get to stay too? Asking for a friend...
@sgt.tackleberry8752 Says:
I notice the guards are still armed. Why don't you see how docile they are if you're unarmed, really put your incarceration philosophy to the test.
@beckyh8406 Says:
They took the phrase kill them with kindness a bit to literally. I wonder what solitary confinement is like, perhaps it comes with a private hot tub 🤔
@judyheller8814 Says:
I think this would be good for prisoners who are about to be released but not their entire sentence. This would never work in the US. Too many citizens have guns and will take the law into their own hands if they feel justice is not done.
@calgakispict3652 Says:
Isn't it better to have prisoners who don't re-offend, most people who end up in prison never had the consistency the Norwegian system has, I bet they have a lower rate of re-offenders because of how they are treated. They learn how to be better people instead of being left as a group of psychos fighting and raping each other... Makes sense to me to do it more like them, I don't quite understand the maximum stay being 21 years, if someone is never fit to return to society, they shouldn't but this seems way better than slave labour, draconian drug laws and punishing addicts like most of the west do.
@viper-Down Says:
Oooooo I know where I'm moving 😆👌🏽 21 years to be tooken care of loool
@johnnycrown5097 Says:
This shouldn't be attempted in any large country... Whereby the prison cell looks nicer than a good portion of the citizens houses... Why would people not want to go back to jail... People don't know that soaring the rod would spoil the child and prisons are meant to act as a deterrent not a welcoming place... The hotel I stayed in a village state in my country was wider alright but way way waaaay crappier and less furnished than this prison... People will do vile things just to get in... You have no where to live and there's this hot chick you really want to bang, lucky you, that's your rent right there, basically toasting her and getting consent could ruin you... To rehabilitate someone, you have to show a little bit of tough love... And the disgusting part about all these is that asylums for insane people which is most of the time not their fault are more prison like than most prisoners filled with vile people who made a choice to get sent there and no one is trying to improve the lives of criminals and not the mentally ill... Do not let me get started on orphanage homes and foster cares and charity homes and NGOs and he'll even beggars deserve better treatment than criminals yet it's the worst of the society that the society is backing and the most vulnerable and innocent are being neglected... Like the priorities of the left is just completely backwards...

2:30 The Vikings moved all* to Russia ... (The locals there called the Vikings Russ. The Vikings aka the Russ took over. And it became the land of the Russ ... In German it still called just that. Russland [land of the Russ]) *= Not all. Some stayed in France. Normandy somehow refers to/comes from _"Region der Nordmänner"_ (region of the north men) which means the Vikings.
@urielpolak9949 Says:
Many prisons are hell on earth breeding criminals.
@urielpolak9949 Says:
If you need to never come back to society its possible. You can be in care of government than 21 year is not the limit. I like to know what you think a prison should look like
@urielpolak9949 Says:
What he means by the prison is not to judge is exactly that they have been judged already. The punishment is the loss of freedom. No extra punishment needed. It is i think a good thing to experement which type of prison delivers the most well adjusted people back into society, revisidism is low in scandinavia
@chrisg8321 Says:
It might work with their culture... Sadly the migrants from different cultures might abuse the system..
@parodox22 Says:
Why am I paying so much rent... I should go to norway and get my crime on
@Norinia Says:
“The USA has sooo many people in jail, comparing the same number to Norway…” Yes, BECAUSE THERE ARE MORE PEOPLE!!! 60-100,000 is near nothing when your population is just 5.4 million (just checked google, couple thousand under that, but still)
@p_noizesacha Says:
Oh No guy's It snowed last night . So after Breakfast everybody who wants to go, can go shovel the snow of the visitors parking lot.
@Cat-up6hb Says:
and countries like that wonder why people from poor countries like to come to those countries just to get in prison, how is this so hard to think of lol
@wildwildy6687 Says:
An average Norwegian prisoner is less likely to suffer a grivous violence rape or robbery then the average swede lol.
@melaniew52 Says:
So if you are homeless in Norway just commit a crime and you're living the life. I gotta say these people live better than I do.

I definitely want to move to Norway find a hot blond and invite my enemies to the wedding kill them all and kick back playing strip poker all day with that cute little screw and retire to my suite when I want to be alone. Fuck paying to go to daydream island for a week I’ll go to Norway for a 21year holiday do you get to fill out your menu each night and have your breakfast in bed delivered by the screws each morning? And I thought Queensland prisons were soft.
@stevewilliams1260 Says:
Why do they call it a maximum “security” prison. Where the F is the security
@bigspoon3634 Says:
If its stupid but it works, then it isent stupid
@TheCharleseye Says:
Do they get good results? I mean, I don't love the idea of pampering inmates but with the mess of a justice system we have in the US, anything that would help is a bonus. We have revolving doors with zero reform. It's just a place for criminals to go to become more criminal. Something's gotta give.
@greyfunbox9069 Says:
Those "cells"/living quarters are literally more spaceous than my place right now. Bigger room, bigger bathroom, bigger kitchen. Heck, I don't even own a TV.
@panslawista Says:
This shit is coming to Australia, I spoke with the department of corrections in Australia and they said they want to go in the direction of Scandinavian countries
@ultrawidegameplayandbenchm9158 Says:
Looking at current day Australia the whole country is a super max prison
@TheoneandonlyJobis Says:
You're missing the fact that they have the lowest rate of reoffenders. Also this is a minimum security prison for non violent criminals.
@factcheck9849 Says:
It seems norway is wasting billions on prison than on poverty
@Afanasii_Kamenkoi Says:
She's not that hot bro, I think that's just your personal preference
@lutascheier Says:
You obviously have no idea of justice, psychology, sociology and every other education needed to see that this is how prisons should be run. Try treating every small time offender like shit and caging them in with wild animals and see what becomes of them. Wait, just look at America!
@HaakonTheViking Says:
The idea is that when we all become political prissoners, this is the jail we go to. Gotta think ahead buddy.
@rickberny1424 Says:
God, being a serious criminal in Norway and ending up here would be so humiliating, there are people in other parts of the world who are so dangerous that get sent to basically irl Arkham, but you are so fucking innocuous that you get a hotel.
@trentr9762 Says:
i mean if it works its mostly a good idea, surely it is better for everyone if they are integrated back into normal life, reformed and off the tax payers money
@nox3335 Says:
But they do have some of the lowest crime and recidivism rates in the world so they must be doing something right.
@naturalrightsnotconstituti3556 Says:
I vote for “prison”/survival islands for medium security prisoners and death row for maximum security prisoners!!! Anything lower shouldn’t even be wasting my stolen tax money!!!
@misterz5908 Says:
Here is an idea... Prison is a place where people shouldn't want to go back. It should be punishment for them!!
@karlgiese6100 Says:
I think it's worth noting that the maximum sentence of 21 years means a minimum of 21 years. Like, after 21 years they consider letting you out of prison. In the us you get a 21 year sentence but you might get out before 21 years, in Norway you get a 21 year sentence and you might get out after that.
