I used to like him until he needlessly attacked the rescuers of the Thai cave boys, when they rejected using his mini sub, that he had tested in a swimming pool. There was no way a rigid sub was going to be able to navigate the structure of that cave, where in some places, a human had trouble squeezing through some of the tight spots. Musk then got into a Twitter war with the rescuers, eventually calling the diver, an Aussie doctor, a pedophile. FO Musk.

Also, he’s way more integrated in the system than people who were selling one or two shitty products. When Musk goes down, a lot of important people will look incredibly stupid and that probably protects him to some degree. And at the end of the day, the system is averse to going after people with money. Look at Trump: he‘s theoretically guilty of armed rebellion and half of Washington DC wants him to be taken down, but so far, nothing has happened that can actually end his career.
