The misstatement of the goal of the project by the student. You should not set out to prove something can be done. You should set out to determine if something can be done.
@TheWizardGamez Says:
To be fair to the students it’s a free project and I’m sure that they are all pretty smart people. And the students get to build and learn the building techniques for something real and tangible. It would’ve been cooler for them to build something more practical like a real train or even a rocket train. But they only have so much time to make and choose their projects for the year

This guy is the epitome of integrity. The Boeing CEO should strive to be like him. This is only an honest appraisal of what is clear but Boeing keeps denying. Its clear there is more issues than single items.

Capacitors are great at surviving many charge cycles. A capacitor in a 2.4GHz WiFi front end us charging and discharging 2.4 billion times a second and will keep doing so for 20 or more years.

Why the squeaky voice idiot talking over the whole thing. It’s easy to slag things off as he did but what has he accomplished apart from annoying videos. Seems like he’s got an issue with Elon Musk maybe a little bit of jealousy there because one is the richest person on the planet and he’s scraping around trying to find clipping’s to make him look bad.
@Tsayoga Says:
Looks like a University pulling a Silly’con Valley/Musk type hype con for funding and donations most likely.

Let me guess just like every other company no matter what the failure was it or always has been they blamed the pandemic for lack of anything on these projects lol great vid love the debunking of all this bullshit

Too many adds and not a lot of information. Most of the video about hyper loop. The title is misleading.

Speaking with friends/colleagues I've complained for years how IT universities in Brazil do not prepare professionals to work in real world at all - specially in programming - with a newly graduated student being almost useless in working environment without being trained by someone more experienced. That goes to a whole new level having engineering students happily wasting years in clearly impracticable projects. They have - or should have - the knowledge to see that this is wrong, which really make me question the quality and reliability of their work when they go to the market, if they will not be just the generic "yes man" that let people like Musk appear as geniuses.

So, basically, ElonS whilde plans tie up millions of dollars and millions of manhours, that could have been spend much much much much much much better. He is, infsct, making the world and scientists stupider day by day.

I know I'm a year late here. But, just look at how outraged Greece was by its recent train crash for being unheard of in 2023 Europe. Then go to the US section of Google news and search for "train derailment" and just count all the derailments that don't even make the front page because they're so common. Now explain to me how US universities are going to revolutionize transportation when the US "professionals" can't even make it safe and reliable. That's a huge probability gap that if I were a certified financial advisor, would make me have to make two recommendations to my clients. One would be don't buy stock in these companies. Two, don't become a STEM major unless you've been sought out by the likes of MIT at an early age. Having been a STEM major myself I can say it's a world of posers who don't know much about math and science including most of the professors and department heads. It may not be so surprising that throwing numbers at a problem, like "more STEM" doesn't solve the problem, it only attracts state university scam artists. The generous tax cuts for the wealthiest Amercians have forced these state instituions to shore up the states' budgets through outrageous tution and fees, for crap shcools that aren't teaching a thing, excpet how to be a poser, essentially creating a naivete tax upon the country's youngest adults. Serious people don't look at the US to pursue anything beyond short term profit.

My city has had a hyperloop for almost a century. It is a tunnel underground where we run large vehicles at high speeds...on wheels! But because we are just backwards thinking Luddites who resist change, we never bothered to pump out all the air because they teach science in middle school, but hey, we all can't be geniuses like Elon. He is a futurist and therefore beyond science.😂
@angerissues69626 Says:
We get it people we all saw Futurama to
@chironjo Says:
Hyper loop is as fake as Elon’s hair line😂
@chironjo Says:
They just released the news that nuclear fusion was “achieved” in a controlled lab environment that latest “fractions of a second”!!!! Wao!
@1337Frederick Says:
And we wonder why, the students that these universities produce, have a hard time paying off their school loans.
@SimonMedia666 Says:
Why those Hyperloops pods are alwas shown being aerodynamic pointy shapes - if they are in vacuum there is totally no point to it, yeah yeah I know that the whole technology is a vaporware and make no sense... however this is even more hillarious :) and those gold batteries story reminds me on 1 of south park episodes where they found cure for AIDS and it was multi milions of dollars :D
@iainmacleod3957 Says:
Maybe some of the ideas are not fundamentally correct however Elon Musk is an absolute genius and he is the smartest man in any room anywhere any time

Yes- legalized marihuana and hyperloops go hand in hand.
@adrianmetzler2523 Says:
I wonder how many students who worked on this new form of affordable transportation took the bus/ subway to work, or internship or what ever.
