My mom traded in her 10 year old Subaru for an EV this autumn and we both miss the Subaru. That car was a beast. You never had to worry about any roads, any rocks, even real bad iced over hills. And even though it was noticably smaller than her new car it fit a whole lot more. The summer before we backed half a mile down a road that was too tiny to turn on because we wanted to pick up a cool log. New car could never do that, heck, my much smaller car doesn't have the turn radius.
People that like the idea of off-roading get these cars. People who actually go off-road get subarus.
