@fortuner123 Says:
It's not the flight that worries me. It's the taxi trip to and from the airport.
@seedplanter7173 Says:
So if Earth is spinning couldn't a plane just fly straight up and have the destination come to you?
@sjoerd1239 Says:
So, what is the door lever for and what is meant by "locked"? More BS bait language.
@Harryisagoodhandle Says:
How do you feel about piracy?
@cseguin Says:
Yep - you are less likely to get in an accident when you fly - indeed . . . but what's the survival rate? I think the important stat is "survival" and _not_ the "chance of getting into an accident". I'd hazard a guess that the survival rate in other transportation accidents is far higher than aviation accidents. I'd much rather be in a fender-bender than plummeting to the Earth in a metal tube from 35,000 feet . . . but that's just me.

My jaw dropped when you told me about tomato juice being the drink of choice on air flights! That is exactly the case with me, but it never occurred to me. Your channel is incredibly good!
@johng.1703 Says:
just a small correction here in regards to the planes pressure, while the vast majority of commercial jets maintain a pressure equal to around 6K-9Kft there are some private jets that maintain full sea level air pressure, to do so the plane has to be built much stronger, and as such has more weight, this is why commercial jets tend not to, but private jets can. it is mainly to do with operational cost, you use more fuel to carry the extra weight and it costs more fuel to increase the air pressure. airlines can sell cheaper tickets and make more money by going to 9Kft pressure.
@johng.1703 Says:
when in flight and at altitude you would have to have the strength of superman to open one of these doors, as it would take a few tons of force to open them due to differential air pressure. commercial planes tend to fly between 33,000ft and 44,000 feet, this is for the thinner air and less air resistance.
@chemportal949 Says:
Wonder if you still face the same noise connecting to cellular towers in a plane made of carbon fibre composite vs older aluminium planes
@jessebeegee Says:
so the door can't be opened? what is the point of distinguishing this from it being locked. the air pressure locks it in place

I once was in an exit row with a guy who kept
threatening to open the exit door. He was someone with mental health issues who was off his meds. It was 30000 feet in the air. He could not have opened the door but it was anxiety inducing to at the least.

Before the cell phone ban, I often traveled with a bag phone and used it in flight. Connected to the towers w/o issue.
Decades ago I read an article in Playboy by a famous attorney who flew a lot. His advice was to always keep your seat belt on, even if not snug. Passengers have been injured by extreme turbulence.

The reason planes fly so high is so less fuel burns the higher altitude you are

Licenced Amateur operators are more keenly aware of how Harmonics and parasitic emissions can have consequences. Any random number of devices have a potential for creating these problems. In an enclosed metal space the chances are slightly higher. Yes, it's a negligible chance it'll happen. But it will happen.
@linuxranch Says:
No.. the air isn't "unbreathable". It's just not capable of keeping you alive! But, if you add supplemental oxygen, it's back to "useful" again.

@DevinScimeme Says:
0:27 air pressure.
Its higher pressure inside than outside when at altitude, and since the door opens inwards, it has to compress the air for a moment. It cant there is too much pressure. Same way that one way valves work
@temualbasu2559 Says:
There is nothing more satisfying than those beautiful graceful plane doors. When i was a child i made a promise one day when i have enough money instead of buying an expensive car i want a full fledged plane door screwed to my wall

@KeithTyler-y3l Says:
13:55 Putting microcells on the planes themselves eliminates the problem because the phones can ping at much lower power to the onboard microcell, which both saves battery, saves the ground based network, and also reduces interference potential.

I wouldn't have a problem with it if it was a Muslim group that rented it out or even if it just privatly invited Muslims to attend. It's really only the "only" part that's inappropriate for a publicly advertised event.
