The Zero $ Indoor Airsoft Target Tutorial!

????

Dear YouTube Raters, this aren't real guns but airsoft models, very harmless. They just shoot little plastic BBs or rubber balls. So please leave this video alone, okay mates? Thanks and bye bye!

I have a question. What size of grouping can be expected for an airsoft rifle? I have 12 meters clean for shooting when my wife goes out, and I wonder if it worth to buy a spring powered airsoft rifle and a precision barrel for targeting.

I need to take a quick look but I believe the cheap paper plates that I use for 22LR plinkin are barely thicker then the splatter targets that I also use with airsoft. Airsoft pellets go right through AND you get a couple hundred of them for dirt cheap. Put a pop can down, top side down and trace it with a felt pen, find the center and trace a penny. Pretty cheap targets and bigger then those that you were using. These aren't even members mark from Sams these were the cheapest that they had at the grocery store. There's good for a sandwich and some chips but not greasy chips. But you could have a larger target following this method. I'm working up an in room target for airsoft for more multiple shot practice other then dry fire. Oh I hope the day never comes when I have to use my weapon and I instinctively shoot, reach up and rack and shoot again. I'd need twice as many magazines! I need to order some more pet training pads from Chewey. They always show up in a nice, large cardboard box perfect for this size. Thanks for the ideas.

Wow! I have made two bullet traps like this last summer, except they have three or four curtains of lighter fabric, separated by several centimeters. Each layer slows down the bullet only a little so deceleration is progressive and bullets are never damaged, they can be reused indefinitely. I checked closely with a magnifier, they have no damage at all. One heavy fabric makes the bullet bounce back outside the box sometimes, but several light fabrics don't. Have fun!

Should still use eye protection!

A steel coffee can with a plastic flexible lid works really well for pellet guns BB's go through the lid and stop in the can.

It works even with lead pellets. I used two layers of jeans and it nicely stop pistol lead projectiles. Of course sometimes the skirt is a little bit deformed, but it can be prevented using thicker pellets similar shape to slugs, lead balls, or normal diabolo made with harder lead like KTK. I have used one pellet a countles amount of time lol. Thanks for another simple and ingenious thing :D

@JoergSprave I once build something similar for classic 6mm airsoft. May I suggest to insert an angled bottom and a retractable plastic cup, which will collect all the bullets easily in one place. In that way you don't have to tilt the target to retrieve the ammo and can hang it somewhere where you can just reach the collected ammo.

I use a dryfire system while watching TV or what ever to just practice triger control and various other muscle memory things that come with shooting

i dont recommend reusing bbs. reused bbs can explode in the barrel, depending on the strengh of the gun
@Lost_Hwasal Says:
I have a slingshot box that is similar, if you angle the cloth it deflects the balls to one side or the other, this way you can leave the side of the box open (you might need a lip to keep the balls from rolling out. Makes retrieval easier. Additionally this will help keep the bbs from bouncing back out of the front, as it deflects them to the side rather than straight back.

I have made a similar style target for slingshot ammo. I used a cardboard box only difference is I put two rows of doubled layers of denim letting them hang from the top only. I've shot 1/2 oz lead balls, hex nuts, and various other things with no through and through holes. Of course I tested this out doors before using it inside.
@davidkersey2414 Says:
Hey good idea.. you should stick the box on top of a rc car.. then you could send it down range... for some distance shooting..
