I canceled my Netflix account because of this.
It was an account I took over after my mom died. I liked the fact that the algorithm had my mom's choices on it despite how much time had passed. It meant the suggestions I got had a bit of her personality left.
But she would have been disgusted to have any part of her memory associated with that filth.
I haven't paid a penny to Netflix ever since.
