As someone who identifies as Liberal, I have some very conservative beliefs. I don't see it as either a "this or that" situation. People aren't robots (many of us anyway) who only follow one belief set. To me, that's like saying because I'm former military, doesn't mean I should think the Department of DEFENSE (not War) doesn't need to pass an actual annual audit. 1 trillion dollars is a lot of money to ask for if you can't prove where last year's money went, let alone nearly 1.5 trillion now.
