This is the problem with states that do not have "stand your ground laws" such laws protect your right to defend your life with EQUAL OR LESSER FORCE.
You can argue away a police officers immunity in front of a jury based or clear mental inability on the officers part for being WILLING to use a war banned weapon on civilians

MLK's movement was able to be painted as "violent and destructive" because of Jessie Jackson funny enough. MLK would be sitting there telling people not to get violent meanwhile Jessie is like "The cops are here! Prepare for war!" which would pull some of the people over to the violent side of things. So it's not like it never happened, but it was overblown. That's why you have to try to control those types of people in your movement or distance yourself from them because they just drag everyone down.

a rewatch 3 years later. so happy you were right and we had comprehensive police reform, realized we all mostly want the same things, and stopped letting others distract and divide us based on the most pointless acts of political theatre, we are all a nation united like never before and the celebrity's just stopped being such narcissist's and in an unprecedented act of real solidarity each donated %1 of their income to pay the stockholders in the private prison industry to compensate any financial loss that they incurred when they decided that building a prison in every city with actual quotas on how many beds must be occupied at all times was a terrible idea. its been 3 years and the cops havent stomped on a single civil liberty and we finally elected a president that is a strict constitutionalist that honestly has the citizens best interest at heart and we even managed to close down 99% of the military bases we previously had in every country and repurposed them into affordable housing and community centers. Some times i find it hard to believe we were able to accomplish so much. it seems just to good to be true.
