I'm kind of glad i was in prison for the whole rioting and police fuck around and find out that was going on because I'm pretty sure I would have been fighting everyone(rioters and police alike). Rioting and looting is not okay no matter the reason. I already didn't like the police because of the way they think they are above the law and going after peacefully protesters the way they should have been going after rioters while not doing anything about rioters is just mind blowing to think about. the police are mostly just a big gang as soon as someone can actually pose a threat they what nothing to do with it but when they have the upper hand nothing is off the table that's a fact.

Thanks for making this video. As an ex right-wing (and now annoying centrist) i didn’t get the full context of blm and acab. Although i still disagree that ALL cops are bad (cuz there are good ones), i now realize how important the movement was to EVERYONE. Not just minorities, literally EVERYONE. So many people don’t deserve to be cops… and I feel bad for the people who were hurt or killed by cops unjustifiably.

Let's be clear: Cops absolutely HAVE to fear for their lives to do their job properly. HOWEVER, this is just egregious random acts of violence just because they could. They really wanted to use the tactics they had learned in school and for no other reason, especially at that rally where they trapped them in tear gas. At least in the videos submitted here, these cops are bastards. NOT ALL COPS. These cops. That's a lot of cops, though.
I've had experience with cops because of my mental health and even though I was spitting out hostile remark after hostile remark, they kinda just treated me well, even got one of them to put their finger in my mouth to get some hair out of it, which is not a safe thing for them to do. I know from experience that not all cops are bastards, but as sure as there are bastard civilians, there are bastard cops. Maybe sheriffs aren't bastards. It's humans being humans, unfortunately, and only humans being humans can put a stop to it.

Late, I know. But polarization plays a part here. Everyone seems to either defend all cops or despise all cops. The sad truth of our time is that charlatans are in every profession: those who want to victimize others choose a profession that will give them easy access to victims. I know I'm commentinf 3 yrs later, but 'peacefully protesting' inherently means not performing illegal acts. Therefore, the police removing protesters from the road, or private property is constitutional. This doesn't excuse bad behavior by officers, but these two are 100% allowed.
