Should you be worried about your salvation

????

Matthew 7:21-23 often strikes fear in the heart of many Christians. Jesus says, 'Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven.' Does that mean some Christians won't be saved? Frank explains it all here! ???? ???????????????????????????????????????????? ???????????????????????????????????? ?? Romans 10:9 "If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Matthew 6:25-27 "“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?" if you have faith in Christ, nothing can separate you from salvation and God. not even worry. Romans 8:38-39 "For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Self deception is the scariest aspect in my journey back to Christ. I pray to the Lord to help me accept his terms between Marriage and sexual immortality. Between lust and love. I know that God sent her in my life to be free from pornography, and I'm grateful for that needed step in his direction. Now is the fear of committing pre marital sex with the woman I know I want to spend the rest of my life with, as she does with me, to bear each other's burdens and children together. God, if we are sinners, have mercy and please save us from our self delusions and ignorance of your word. I want to be corrected and know I'm on the right path with the Lord.

I have worried about my salvation for more than 20 years. No, I don't live in licentiousness or secret sin, but I struggle with everyday sins like every christian. I struggle with doubt but not because of the reality of God. I struggle and doubt if when I confessed Christ and asked Him to forgive me of my sins I truly became saved or not. Confusing, I know.

Jesus once said, "I tell you the truth, if you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it would move. Nothing would be impossible. " amen for our saviour, king of kings lord of lords. 🙏

Before you can get to this point, how would you explain salvation to someone entirely new. They need to know that before they can believe in a savior. What are you being saved from? There is no practical day to day way to really explain that that I can think of. You have to sell them on some amount of theology in order the get the concept of salvation to even make sense as something to desire. A normal person of no faith background has no reason to think they need to be saved from anything. Do you have an practical ways to sell the idea of salvation without using any theology? I am wondering about a purely reason and philosophical answer, so an answer of practicality.

How about faith without actions is death? I really dont know when you belief that Jesus is your lord and savior, but u still live in habitial sin
@DamianDoesYoutube Says:
Can you lose salvation by losing faith, I know you can't lose salvation because of your works. For we are saved by trusting in jesus to bring us to the father, but can you lose salvation by losing faith. Like if i have faith in jesus on the 1 of January, and than by the 1 of July I don't have faith in jesus. Can I still be saved. Because how I look at it is, commandments are a command, faith is a necessity

Is not worry a sin? Can a sin become instrumental in our salvation from sin or does worry simply add to all our other sins the sin of worry?

@monkkeygawd Says:
Short answer: NO. Long Answer: NOOO REALITY is does not match with Christianity, but with NONDUALISM (IDEALISM, if u like). No need for salvation whatsoever.
@RoyceVanBlaricome Says:
Pretty good vid, Frank, but like all analogies it falls a little short. True saving faith would be knowing that the branch IS strong enough to save you. Salvation does NOT come of a faith that gambles. (Heb. 11:6) This is where Pascal's Wager falls short. I would also add that it is a good example in the sense of what happens when you let-go of the branch.

I love Frank Turek and we are truly blessed to have him as a defender of the faith. But from what I can tell, Frank may lean toward the Calvinist way of thinking when it comes to soteriology or at least he may be an adherent to the "Once saved, always saved" doctrine. But I am afraid that James, the half brother of Jesus, does not understand salvation to be as simple as reaching out to grab hold of a branch. The young woman asking Frank about assurance of her salvation may be lacking assurance if she is holding on to some sin she needs to repent of doing. These are questions we should ask when someone is looking for assurance of their faith. If we have not truly repented of known sin and are still practicing a known sin, we shall be just as the people that Frank described. As described in Matthew 7:21-23, they professed to be believers in Jesus and even called Him 'Lord, Lord'. But Jesus told them, "depart from Me you workers of iniquity, I never knew you." Salvation is more than just believing. It requires repentance towards God from known sins and faith in Jesus Christ. And faith also means to be faithful. It is the same word in the original Greek. It is repentance and faith (as well as faithfulness just as in a marriage). Here is what James has to say about faith in his epistle starting in chapter 2 verse 17.  17 Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. 18 But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. 19 You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble! 20 But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead? 21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar? 22 Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works faith was made perfect? 23 And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.” And he was called the friend of God. 24 You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only. 25 Likewise, was not Rahab the harlot also justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out another way? 26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.
@danielblair4413 Says:
When one believes (trusts) the gospel (1 Corinthians 15:1-4) God confirms our salvation by sealing us with his Holy Spirit. You are born again in the spirit when that happens. You know that you have been born the first time, right? Then why would you NOT know that you have been born again when you are born again? Our salvation is a know so salvation. If you don't know that you are saved then guess what? You are NOT saved. There are no doubts in regards to something that you know.
@TheJCFan Says:
If your faith is in yourself, then it is not in Jesus.
@echoesofthepast-w1u Says:
Turek is preaching nonsense here! "If you want that to be the case, then you're saved"? What rubbish!! That is totally unsupported in Scripture! There is a simple, straightforward method to Salvation that is clearly outlined in Scripture! Interestingly, Turek doesn't mention it.

How about repenting of sins?
@ronwolcott5839 Says:
Love how ironic it is that our doubts can lead to more faith. Love the heart of the question and the illustration given to her. Mark 9:23 “‘If you can’?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for one who believes.” 24 Immediately the boy’s father exclaimed, “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!” And Jesus ignored him and did nothing... NOT. His son was healed. Coming to Jesus with our doubts is what he wants.
@96tolife Says:
Faith is responding to the truth that God has revealed to you. Faith is not believing something in the absence of evidence like is often the definition that is used. When you are presented with the Gospel, that you are spiritually dead in sin, and Jesus is the one who has forgiven your sins and offers you the life of God, and you believe it, you are saved.

Again, this brought me to tears. I am sorely afraid for my Salvation. I believe in Jesus, His sacrifice, death, and (YES) He rose from the grave.
@grantbartley483 Says:
But how much works do you need for your faith to not be dead?
@Thanya569 Says:
Being afraid whether you are saved is satans work. But its great people care, if you confess Jesus as your saviour and give Him ur life u are indeed Saved! Reading the Bible is also good for boosting ur faith ,recieving Holy Spirit is the best . He will guide you and witness with ur spirit that Jesus exists ,died for u and u r a child of a living God. Amen
@Schuyler_Alton Says:
Wouldn’t this analogy suggest that an agnostic who believes there is a chance Jesus died on the cross would be saved even without having confidence in it? Do you need to believe that God resurrected or just wonder if he might and ask God that “if Jesus was resurrected then please save me” and then go on living your life

Not for unbelievers. First thing’s first: sell me the product. “Okay, well first of all, you know that nothing in life is guaranteed right?” Yeah I guess. Okay then… “There’s no guarantee that salvation will work” Ummm…. Okay “There’s no guarantee that it is true” Errr… sure? “There’s no guarantee you’ll know if you are saved”. alright wait what?? “But in death, it is guaranteed you’ll burn for all eternity if you don’t buy it” Oh for God’s sake…. “Exactly”.

Let's also keep things in context - In Romans, Paul was speaking to fellow believers who were already saved, not giving instructions to the unsaved. John 3:3, 5 and Acts 2:38 - water baptism is necessary!

Ok, gonna need some help on this one. Doesn't the Bible also say 'even the demons believe'? Isn't there a story of a demon going after a so-called prophet where the demon says 'Moses and Jesus I know, you I do not know'? So are we not to have faith and works? You can't just have faith and sit there, you have to do righteousness; you have to produce fruit. If you just believe and worry about your faith, but have no works isn't your faith dead? James 2:14-20
