Biblical inerrancy is extremely important, but how do Christians define it today? In this clip from his online course, 'Jesus vs. The Culture', Frank shares some of the various views held by Christian scholars regarding inerrancy and gives one example of when it's best to avoid the topic. ???? ???????????????????????????????????????????? ???????????????????????????????????? When I was a Christian I was pretty good at helping atheists understand the moral content of the Bible. For everyone that I thought I was motivating to open their mind, it wasn't long before they reported to me that they went ahead and got dog-piled by Christians who desired nothing more than to speak past them. The church isn't only a house of cards but a goofy house of cards. I leave you arrogant trash to yer own devices.

So if Jesus teaches, we know that by what we read, and therefore we must first agree the bible to be reliable. It is intellectually and historically evident that this is true. Then is we find Jesus claiming to be the only way to the Father, as well as using the bible as His leverage to argue unbelievers, it is calling Jesus to be in error to reject inerrancy of the bible.

I was raised in a religious household, went to church the majority of my life. More recently is when I stopped going and started to question things. I look at the state of the progressive world today with gender being a spectrum, children get transitioning affirmation, puberty blockers under 10, the WHO and WEF trying to take over the world, our freedoms in this country dwindling away, wars, corrupt politicians and I have one question....God, if you are there, what the heck are you doing? Do something.

The fact that they officially defined and promoted biblical inerrancy in Chicago in 1978 talks a lot about the unimportance of the doctrine of biblical inerrancy through the history of Christianity.

If our Lord said this. Matthew 28:19 KJVS Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Then why just a few days later did Peter say this. Acts 2:38 KJVS Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Every incident in the book of Acts where someone was baptized, it was in the name of Jesus Christ. is it important in regards to theology. Romans 6:3-6 KJVS Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? [4] Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. [5] For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: [6] Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

To clarify James is about works for people, not salvation. James 2:14 What does it profit, my brethren,... this is saying how is your faith a benefit to others if you're not living your faith ie works. 15 If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, 16 and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? 17 Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. If you're saved and you never share Jesus, live your faith, or help others, you'll still be saved but be useless to God. This is NOT about salvation. John 6:38-40 38 For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me. 39 This is the will of the Father who sent Me, that of all He has given Me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up at the last day. 40 And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day.” Just some thoughts.

@almuel Says:
I'm a christian but I'm sure that Biblical Inerrancy isn't true. I know we like to believe that the Bible was written with the aid of the Holy Spirit and all that but we have no definite proof of it and it isn't in God's nature to do something like that. Remember the Tower of Babel, Jonah and so many more instances where God was amused by the blunders of man. He didn't expect his prophets to be perfect beings and carry out divine actions—he let them do his work through their own selves and God accepted them mistakes and all (I'm not talking about their sins, that of course God hated). Also remember the Bible that we have today came to be only in the 4th century when the Council of Nicea came together. Scripture was all over the place before that and even the council couldn't distinguish right from wrong when adding books into the Bible. So we shouldn't bothered about a mere book but instead focus our eyes towards God.

I actually thought about doing this but I kept noticing how almost everyone of these arguments, from Atheists I mean I am not talking any apologist or anything like that but even their views of people they think should be on their side and are not, but everyone has a flaw of somekind. Like the Christ conspiracy myth that I have noticed many anti-theists seem to keep alive even though it's been debunked for well over 20 years now and the very fact only a handful of historians out of 1000s throughout the world believe it, and only 1 of them has any credentials whatsoever, it serves as proof in itself how debunked this argument is. So to the point I would like to make videos bringing attention to every flaw in these arguments of theirs and even their attacks against authorities, I like to call them expert witnesses, in their respective fields using their knowledge and expertise, Jordan Peterson to give one example, to confirm the bible and even attempting to descredit them just because they confirm the bible isn't nearly as ridiculous as anti theists and atheists, or leftists in general, try to make it out to be. I actually thought about it haven't really decided if I want to do it or not because I am noticing already there are quite a number of people already doing that to one degree or another.

New Covenant Whole Gospel: What the modern Church needs is a New Covenant Revival (Heb. 9:10) in which members of various denominations are willing to re-examine everything they believe and see if it agrees with the Bible, instead of the traditions of men. We need to be like the Bereans. It will be a battle between our flesh and the Holy Spirit. It will not be easy. If you get mad and upset when someone challenges your man-made Bible doctrines, that is your flesh resisting the truth found in God's Word. Nobody can completely understand the Bible unless they understand the relationship between the Old Covenant given to Moses at Mount Sinai and the New Covenant fulfilled in blood at Calvary. What brings all local churches together into one Body under the blood of Christ? The answer is found below. Let us now share the Old Testament Gospel found below with the whole world. On the road to Emmaus He said the Old Testament is about Him. He is the very Word of God in John 1:1, 14. Awaken Church to this truth. Jer 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: Jer 31:32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by husband unto them, saith the LORD: Jer 31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. Jer 31:34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more. Is the most important genealogy in the Bible found in Matthew 1:1 (Gal. 3:16)? Is God's Son the ultimate fulfillment of Israel (John 1:49)? Why has the modern Church done a pitiful job of sharing the Gospel with modern Orthodox Jews? Why would someone tell them they are God's chosen people and then fail to share the Gospel with them? Who is the seed of the woman promised in Genesis 3:15? What did Paul say about Genesis 12:3 in Galatians 3:8? Who is the "son" in Psalm 2? Who is the "suffering servant" of Isaiah 53? Who would fulfill the New Covenant promised in Jeremiah 31:31-34? Who would fulfill the timeline of Daniel chapter 9 before the second temple was destroyed? Why have we not heard this simple Old Testament Gospel preached on Christian television in the United States on a regular basis? Once a person comes to understand the New Covenant promised to Israel and Judah in Jeremiah 31:31-34, which is found fulfilled by Christ during the first century in Hebrews 8:6-13, and Hebrews 10:16-18, and specifically applied to the Church in 2 Corinthians 3:6-8, and Hebrews 12:22-24, man-made Bible doctrines fall apart. Let us now learn to preach the whole Gospel until He comes back. The King of Israel is risen from the dead! (John 1:49, Acts 2:36) We are not come to Mount Sinai in Hebrews 12:18. We are come instead to the New Covenant church of Mount Zion and the blood in Hebrews 12:22-24. 1Jn 3:22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. 1Jn 3:23 And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment. 1Jn 3:24 And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us. The following verses prove the Holy Spirit is the master teacher for those now in the New Covenant. Jer 31:34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more. Mar 1:8 I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost. Joh 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. Act 11:16 Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost. 1Co 12:13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. 1Jn 2:27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. I think what inerrancy is about is there isn’t a lack of connection to one another. Not everything that happened in the past we will fully know or understand, but we can make the best guesses based on the documented evidences and historical evidences of it. The same is true with the Bible, when we find two spots that seem contradictory, we can best understand what the authors are actually saying by looking at the historical contexts: what culture was this in? Who is the author? Who are the audiences? How does this relate to the gospel? How does it relate to God’s known character throughout the rest of the Bible? What time period was this in? Etc. It’s all about how they connect to one another and how they reveal God’s character. Throughout the entire Bible there is the same singular theme that is evident: Our need for a savior, God’s grace, the promise of the savior, and the fulfillment of the promise through Jesus.

@texasskygirl7890 Says:
You can't cherry pick the Bible to fit the current culture like so many so called churches do today. People take scripture out of context and then try to mold it to fit whatever narrative. Study. Study . Study. If you dont understand something, talk to other believers. Bible study is so important. Either all of it is true or none of it. If none of it is true, then their would be no need for a Saviour. The Bible is God's love letter to us. Once we are saved, we are given the gift of the Holy Spirit who guides us in discernment.

@Believe_the_Bible Says:
FOUR QUESTIONS TO ASK TO UNDERSTAND OUR BIBLE: When we read and study our bible rightly divided (II Tim 2:15) there are at least 4 questions we should ask, to help get a better understanding of its context. 1. Who is talking? 2. Who is being talked to? 3. What is being said? 4. Can I put myself in this text as being the one being talked to or about? Then, the key is to NOT insert yourself into a passage that you don’t belong in, one that is NOT talking to or about you. If we do, our doctrine will not be correct. Example: You may think you need to sell all you have or keep the law as Jesus taught in the 4 gospel books. And so you should do these things if you were obeying the words of Jesus in Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. But those two things are not requirements for us today as it was for the Jews under the law to go into their earthly kingdom. We are to listen to Jesus' last words by the person who saw and spoke to Him last for the updated new information Jesus gave to him for us today - that would be Paul. Romans – Philemon. ALL scripture is FOR us but not ALL scripture is written to and about us.
@AVKingJamesBible Says:
Many people wall say only the original autographs were inerrant and thus considered Scripture. This is incorrect and unbiblical. God promised to preserve his words. They are still available to the world today. It’s called the King James Bible.
@Gek1177 Says:
The fact that Frank is sputtering all over the place about inerrancy is what makes Christianity a genuine house of cards. All it takes for a person's faith to collapse entirely is one fragile belief they think must be true turning out not to be true. That's why so many people have left Christianity over the past 70 years. Atheism on the other hand is the only rational position regarding the existence of a god.
@Believe_the_Bible Says:
Yes, learn about what Jesus teaches through the only one who spoke to and about the body of Christ, Paul. Believe the bible IS inerrant. Ps 12:6-7 The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever. Pure and preserved. I'll take God's word for His perfect preserved words over the scholars any day. KJB
@NewCreationInChrist896 Says:
Our goal as followers of Jesus is to approach Scripture reverently and prayerfully, and when we find something we do not understand, we pray harder, study more, and if the answer still eludes us humbly acknowledge our own limitations in the face of the perfect Word of God.
@NewCreationInChrist896 Says:
The Bible’s message must be taken as a whole. It is not a mixture of doctrine that we are free to select from. Many people like the verses that say God loves them, but they dislike the verses that say God will judge sinners.
@NewCreationInChrist896 Says:
The Bible judges us, not vice versa. Hebrews 4:12 “For the word of God judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart”
@hansdemos6510 Says:
So, you *_first_* need to have faith, and *_only after_* that will you understand? That does not sound rational at all. That sounds suspiciously like the promises any cult will make to weaken your rational defenses and reel you into their mystic realm of wonder.

Inerrancy - exemption from error Error - a mistake. the state or condition of being wrong in conduct or judgment. You needed to have a meeting over what that word means to try and change it to fit the bible? No, makeup a new word and stop trying to twist other words meaning to fit your narrative. And when I am talking to christians and they say the bible is inerrant, they mean it has no errors, no mistakes.
