33 verses that support Christian universalism: "As in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive ... God [will] be all in all." (1 Corinthians 15:22,28) "As one trespass [Adam's] led to condemnation for all men, so one act of righteousness [Jesus'] leads to justification and life for all men." (Romans 5:18) "God has committed all to disobedience that he might have mercy on all ... From him and through him and to him are all things." (Romans 11:32,36a) "...every knee shall bow to me [God], and every tongue shall confess to God." (Romans 14:11) " ... at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." (Phil. 2:10-11) "And I [Jesus], when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself." (John 12:32) "And every creature which is in heaven and on earth and under the earth I heard saying, 'Blessing and honor and glory and power be to Him who sits upon the throne and to the Lamb forever.'" (Rev. 5:13) "All you have made will praise you, O Lord." (Psalm 145:10a) "I will not contend forever, nor will I always be angry; for 'the spirit would grow faint before me, and the breath of life that I made.'" We all have opinions, but this is what scripture actually says: John 3:36, " He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son SHALL NOT SEE LIFE, but the wrath of God abides on him.” Revelation 20:11 says, "Then I saw a great white throne...I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened...And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books...and they were judged, each one according to his works. 14 Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15 And ANYONE not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire." Revelation 14:9 says, “If anyone worships the beast...he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. 11 And the smoke of their TORMENT ascends FOREVER and ever; and they have NO REST DAY OF NIGHT," Matthew 24:13 says, "But he who ENDURES to the end shall be saved." It does NOT say everyone, but RATHER he who ENDURES TO THE END. Matthew 25:46 says, " And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.” Revelation 21:8 says, " But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death. 2 Thessalonians 1:9, "They will be punished with everlasting destruction and shut out from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might." Jude 1:7 says, "They serve as an example of those who suffer the punishment of ETERNAL FIRE." You are choosing the verses you like as if the Bible was a menu. Be careful, Revelation:19 says, "if anyone TAKES AWAY from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall TAKE AWAY his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book." This is ABSOLUTELY a salvation issue.

What I can’t iunderstand. Why so many people that can not stand the thought of living a Godly life here and now, yet think they shoud go Heaven when they die and live next to God in eternity. Doesn’t make much sense really does it?

Unfortunately, Melissa misses the mark in this video. No one is reconciled to God 'as they are'... not Melissa, not me, not anyone. The Bible is consistent: our 'old self' must be crucified with Christ so God can restore us to our true identity in Him. Melissa surely wouldn't claim that 'Satan wins' if an evil person repents and is saved; she would agree that God won. Why wouldn't that same logic apply here? Dying to our old self is how we are restored to who God intended us to be so ultimately we can be one with Him. That's the end game... that God will be all in all.

Flawed logic
@baileyalpha7926 Says:
Though I do have respect for Mellisa and some of the things she has said in the past, she grossly misrepresents the perspective of universal reconciliation in this video. Couching these misrepresentations under the guise of “logical” considerations is an insult not only to those who hold to universal reconciliation but to anyone making a true attempt to reason logically. I would beseech anyone who would truly like to know more about this topic to review the writings of people who actually hold a universal reconciliation position such as George MacDonald (particularly the books Unspoken Sermons and The Hope of the Gospel) Robin Parry and Gregory of Nyssa. Another good option would be the book Why Hell? By Steve Gregg. In his book, Gregg knowledgeably and fairly represents the views of eternal conscious torment, annihilation, and universal reconciliation. Knowledge and fairness are qualities that seem to be lacking in the present video.
@Gregory-w5k4b Says:
I look for every attempt to refute Christian Universalism that I can find, looking for the very very best arguments they can come up with, and every single time I end up more and more convinced there are NO good arguments, biblical or otherwise, to refute Christian Universalism. This is another great example of this. Was that REALLY all she could come up with? Well, God wants all saved, nothing is impossible with God, there is not a timer on God's attempt to get everyone saved, like the Bible says He does want everyone saved, so God literally has ALL ETERNITY to get every single soul to accept Jesus as their savior. No problem for God AT ALL! You can just watch some Near Death Experience video testimonies to see how extremely EASY it is for God to convert people while they are in the afterlife. Can you imagine doubting God while you are in the afterlife? NO WAY!
@taylorwolfman Says:
Christ Jesus, God’s Shaliach (appointed representative), was sent to reveal God’s plan and accomplish His purposes. He perfectly obeyed the Father and laid down His life for all humanity, fulfilling Scripture by being entombed after His death. The entombment emphasizes the full reality of His death, fulfills prophecy, models obedience, and sets the stage for His resurrection. On the third day, God roused Him to life—not merely restored Him, but actively revealed Him as the source of life for all creation. Through His death, Jesus was glorified, as His obedience, love, and faithfulness displayed God’s character to the world. His sacrifice is universal, drawing all people toward reconciliation. Salvation is not limited to a subset; it is the means God uses to restore all creation, and every act of Christ’s life, death, and resurrection aligns with Scripture’s prophetic fulfillment. Jesus is the true Shepherd and Life, the one who demonstrates God’s glory by vanquishing death and bringing life. Believers participate in this life now and are assured that, ultimately, all will be made alive in God’s timing. The gospel is thus: obedient Shaliach, death for all, entombment as full participation in death, resurrection on the third day, glorification in purpose, and universal restoration.

There are MANY verses that refute UNIVERSALISM, like ALL the verses dealing with the ETERNAL TORMENT in the Lake of Fire, but here is ONE very simple verse: John 3:36, "He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son SHALL NOT SEE LIFE, but the wrath of God abides on him.” By the way, if you were annihilated, the wrath of God would NOT abide on you because there would no longer be a "you."

2 big problems with your train of reasoning. First that God punishing Satan in his way but ultimately redeeming him would be counted as a "win" for Satan, and second that God and Satan are in a even match where God has to "win". God isn't in competition with the devil, it's much bigger than that. It's still a train of thought that is influenced by human justice, human parameters that "make sense logically" to us, humans that do not possess the wisdom of God, how can we begin to build logic? God's love is not humanly logical but that's good! Hopefully more and more people who claim to follow Christ will start to hate Hell doctrines that harm themselves and others!

First Universalism is a False Gospel...It is a Cruel and Evil thing to tell someone no matter what you do, think and believe that you will be saved...Under Universalism even Nero who burned we Christians to death will be saved and by the way even the Final Anti Christ will be saved...Secondly...Their is no Third Resurrection offered anywhere in the New or Old Testament and the Bible says the Lost are Destroyed...See 2 Pet 2:6... In order for the Lost to be saved there must be a Third Resurrection...The Bible Teaches Annihilation...
@Brit8575 Says:
Not only is her logic deeply flawed and has plotholes, but she is misrepresenting Christian Universalism, and does so with an air of superiority as if she's figured it out. She sounds ridiculous. Many christian universalusts believe that to be saved we must all BELIEVE in jesus alone and will one day. And where does she get this idea that the devil would even have the forseight to see he even could be saved or that he would played a role in making it happen? Plus, even in her own belief system, satan caused the crucifixion, so then why does she not say he played a role in salvation either way since he set up the crusifixion and those who believe in the crusifiction are saved as a result? Because she'd then have to acknowledge the flaws in her own thinking.
@MB777-qr2xv Says:
Matthew 25:31-36 says, "Then he will say to those on his left, “Depart from me, you cursed. . . And these will go away into ETERNAL punishment, but the righteous into ETERNAL life.” Same Greek word used in one verse as a contrasting comparison. You can’t say the two uses of the same word have two entirely different meanings without circular reasoning and a pre-conceived bias: universalism. John 3:36 says, "He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son SHALL NOT SEE LIFE, but the wrath of God abides on him.” NOTICE it does NOT say, "He will EVENTUALLY see eternal life AFTER the Lake of Fire. Who do we believe God and His Word who says "He who does not Believe in the Son will NOT see life, or Universalists who say, "That's NOT TRUE. EVERYONE will be saved." Revelation 14:9-11 says, "If anyone worships the beast and its image and receives a mark on his forehead or on his hand, he also will drink the wine of God’s wrath...and he will be tormented with fire and sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever, and they have NO REST, day or night." Does this sound like a refinement or an eternal punishment? Revelation 20:10 says, "And the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where the beast and the false prophet were, and they will be TORMENTED day and night FOREVER and ever. . .Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. And if ANYONE"S name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire." By the way, the word torment is translated from the Greek word Basanismos, and it means to torture. It absolutely does NOT mean to rehabilitate. Again, look at Strong’s Concordance, the word translated torment is Basanismos, and it means to torture. Why doesn’t the Bible just say, “All will EVENTUALLY be saved?” Why doesn’t the Bible say, the Lake of Fire is merely a rehabilitation stint? Do you really think people who hated God and rejected His Christ in this life, some who had a great life with family, friends, wealth, and health will somehow LOVE God after torture in the Lake of Fire? Can you really not see that Satan would love for people to believe that you can reject Christ and live TOTALLY for the flesh, even unto death, BUT you still WILL BE SAVED? AND, that is precisely what Universalism is saying: every single, solitary person, whether Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, atheist, murderer, rapist, LGBTQ, child molester, drug dealer doesn't need (even though it would be better) to come to Christ in this life. Afterall, if you fail to come to Jesus in this life, you WILL BE saved in the Lake of Fire. Satan has deceived you into believing his lie.
@ptt3975 Says:
She is so young and inexperienced. this is cringeworthy. I’m shocked that she thinks that she is qualified to discuss these matters. It’s like fingernails grating on a chalkboard.
@WaviBaby Says:
Universalism undermines the severity of sin and would make Jesus sacrifice ultimately worthless if everyone is eventually saved.
@miraclemannequin Says:
If you people want to reject the cross and the Gospel of Christ for a comforting, more pleasant, feel-good, doctrine of demons please consider Revelation 14:9-11. "A third angel followed them and said in a loud voice: “If anyone worships the beast and its image and receives its mark on their forehead or on their hand they, too, will drink the wine of God’s fury, which has been poured full strength into the cup of his wrath. They will be tormented with burning sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment will rise for ever and ever. There will be no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and its image, or for anyone who receives the mark of its name.” I'm warning you so you will repent of your delusion and so you may warn others. No room for confusion in these verses.
@kreese2121 Says:
Some thoughts are best kept inside ones head. Think more clearly, wow. You're suggesting Lucifer’s win is because he gets to sin and be saved, but you fail to see that sin and disordered desire is what one is saved from. You connect no logical threads this was just an incoherent assertion.

Satan will NEVER be Satan again when he gets thrown into the lake of the ETERNAL HOLY FIRE. Just like you are NOT you anymore, that is if you are truly a NEW creature, a BORN again Christian.

@compoundingwithmichael Says:
Only Origin an early church father believed Satan will be redeemed. The rest of the early church fathers were christian universalists and did not believe that. That contradicts revelations. Now what you should talk about is how all the verses that talk about hell in ancient greek say Aionious (age long) - temporary. Heretics translated this world to eterna in latin, a complete fabrication to show that hell is for humans other than those that know who’s against God “the one anti-christ” and take the mark of the beast. Just learn how to read your bible, it’s like translating the Quran from Arabic to Punjabi and expecting to understand it. The modern christian world that’s so misled, is lazy and pathetic. Learn how to read.
@InescapableLoveofChrist333 Says:
So if God made Satan knowing he would sin and would lead the vast vast majority of people to hell Do you think God will win if the devil gets to take with him the majority of people in hell forever? Get this who do you think is a God easier to love? 1.The God that created everything knowing the majority would be in hell, sent his Son for nothing only saving a few, isn't strong enough to save people in hell 2.The God that created everything knowing that the vast majority will die, so he sent his Son so that all creation will live again from sin, the God that loved as so much he gave his son the God that forgives all his enemies and loves them As Abraham Lincoln said: "Do I not destroy my Enemies when I make them my friends"
@coreyfriend1 Says:
The name Satan means “adversary.” If Satan would become saved, he would cease to be an adversary. That’s how salvation works.
@jaredhuffman3957 Says:
this is ridiculous logic lol
@__-vb3ht Says:
What an impoverished view of redemption...does she think that any sinner who is rdeemed is "getting away with it"? Does she think redemption merely implies not getting punished? No, every being who has sinned will eternally regret their actions. They will not keep their evil desires and enjoy heaven, but their evil will be stripped away. They will come to know the truth which will set them free, as the bible tells us. All will know God and be transformed. melissa seems to believe in a God in whose presence we can exist with our sins intact, whose community does not change us one bit. But Gods justice is not merely the cheap human victory of inflicting suffering on the evil doer. It is death and rebirth, baptising the sinner into the death of Jesus and resurrecting them without their sinfulness. God doesn't merely oppose sin, but overwhelms it
@Moshugaani Says:
Which scenario makes Satan the greater winner: 1) Untold millions that Satan deceived will be condemned by God to an unending torment along with Satan himself 2) Every person that Satan tried to destroy will ultimately be restored and reconciled to God along with Satan himself
@TyehimbaJahsi Says:
I think your "logic" is waaay off, because it presuposes that Satan "winning" equates to God "losing" by allowing Satan "off the hook". The Bible doesn't say God's going to let Satan (or anyone else!) "off the hook". God knows how to put Satan through EXACTLY what God decides to put Satan through in order to purge Satan of the evil and rebellion he embraced. Satan's going to have his specific Lake of Fire (Second Death) experience just like the beast & the false prophet and the demons & EVERYONE who dies in a state of rebellion against God. It was take ages, even ages of ages, but at the end of the ages, when Christ will have brought all things into subjection to Himself, God will be All in ALL. Unless you're asserting that it's "impossible" for God to transform a creature. And that would be problematic, as Jesus said "With God, all things are possible.
@Switzer-rm5is Says:
The question is, if Satan humbled himself and repented, would God accept it? I think the answer to this question solves the debate.
@Anti-EvilStrategist Says:
My take: I think Satan will be laughing knowing that 99.9% of people, including those not known christ, sinners, blasphemy gonna be suffer in agony with him for eternality. As it is his purpose, he drags a lot of people in eternal suffering, and he hatw human being to the guts, so he wins. I personally don't deny there will be literal deepest darkness and brimestone fire as Jesus divine punishment on people, and I don't deny some will serve 100 million years in it (Think about Hitler), but I deny it to be eternity, as "aionion" in greek means "age-like" but roman chruch interpret it as eternity
@GrowinLight Says:
To use the argument that since Satan would like it, it must be false, is flawed logic. Example- I believe people eventually die. Since Satan would like it (if someone died) that means people do not eventually die. There are trillions of other examples.
@jeffsaunders4812 Says:
How is it love to create people who you know you are going to torture forever? If this is your idea of Love then maybe you are the who is deceived. From what I read in scripture is that satan is the one to deceive and destroy not God who is the very essence of love , God is not a God loves as part of his dealings with his creation but his essence and nature is love He is love and He can’t do anything that is not loving “God is light and there is no darkness in him” Satan will have to bend his knee and confess Jesus is Lord just like all of Gods creation and yeas he will pay for all he has done no one gets away with anything.

It is actually true that everyone including Lucifer will be saved but through Lake of fire. Everyone will suffer the consequences of their sins and lucifer and all demons will be saved through fair punishment in Lake of fire. Lucifer is not a good guy and neither you or me, only GOD is good. Don't be jealous of God's LOVE to His creation as He does this to glorify Himself. Lucifer is a created being by GOD and his wickedness cannot envelope God's love, grace and justice. As far as I'm concerned, GOD cannot create such marvelous beings including humanity and punish them for eternity. For me, it doesn't make sense. It is God's purpose to let His creation have free will both angels and humans. Let us believe in HIM through JESUS CHRIST. AMEN.
@joecheffo5942 Says:
So God made satan and put him in the garden. Then satan instigated Eve. Eve convinced Adam. And then Adam ate the fruit. All those causal chains and you ONLY blame Satan? It's all his fault, the whole thing?
@UniversalistSon9 Says:
In the perspective of eternity, yes I don’t see universalism as crazy at all. God is eternal, yet we humans see things as here and now and limited to time. In the end, whenever that may be, all can and will be saved. We all will realize the Divine truth.
@gman-zr1ie Says:
John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him SHALL NOT PERISH but have ETERNAL LIFE. John 3:36 Whoever believes in the Son HAS ETERNAL LIFE, but whoever rejects the Son WILL NOT SEE LIFE, for God’s wrath remains on them. Romans 2 But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of God’s wrath, when his righteous judgment will be revealed. 6 God “will repay each person according to what they have done.” 7 TO THOSE WHO by persistence in doing good SEEK glory, honor and IMMORTALITY, He will "GIVE" ETERNAL LIFE. Romans 6:23 The wages of sin is DEATH, but the GIFT of God is ETERNAL LIFE in Christ Jesus our Lord. 1 Timothy 6:16 WHO ALONE HAS IMMORTALITY, who dwells in unapproachable light, whom no one has ever seen or can see. To him be honor and eternal dominion. Amen. God alone is immortal, our souls are not. Eternal life is a gift from God. If your name isn't written in the Book of LIFE, you will DIE (body and soul) in the lake of fire and cease to exist. Matthew 10:28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
@diamondlife-gi7hg Says:
“Just as the result of one trespass was condemnation of all men, so also the result of one act of righteousness was justification that brings life for ALL men.” (Rom. 5:18) there's plenty more where this came from.
@rg442 Says:
The problem with this view is rooted in free will. If God isn't sovereign, then the devil is some sort of rogue agent that God can't control. If God is sovereign (hint: He is), then the devil is a tool in God's tool box, not some rogue entity that threw a wrench into His plans. Since God is in COMPLETE control, Him saving all isn't only possible, it's the most logical and scriptural conclusion. Note: using logic is basically another way of saying "I'm leaning on my own understanding". Use logic, as long as it agrees with scriptures.
@MetaRig Says:
I firmly believe in universal reconciliation, which means that I see Jesus as the savior of all people. I believe that God wants to save everyone and that He has the power to do so. I'm confident He will succeed and not let evil prevail. Evil may want people to end up in hell, but God's plan is for them to be in heaven, and He won't allow anyone to be lost to evil. There's a lot of evidence pointing towards the salvation of everyone and the concept of hell as a place of redemption rather than eternal punishment. Although, I'm unsure about the redemption of the devil. There's a verse that mentions every knee will bow and every tongue will confess Jesus as Lord, suggesting that everyone will be saved, but I'm not clear if that includes the devil too.
@PaisiosSoup Says:
