A phone is a bad example because when we say it runs out of battery and is loosing energy, that energy isn't being destroyed, it's being transformed into heat and other sources that aren't electricity no more.

I used this argument a few days ago and the guy I was discussing this with said that energy was eternal and infinite.
He was placing energy in the position of God. Then claimed that I was saying that God was energy.

It's also how we know that the universe is about 13.8 billion years old. The argument displayed in this video is also a flawed methodology. He is starting with a conclusion, and trying to find evidence to support that conclusion.
