What if you don't feel bad about a particular sin?

When we know what sin is, we are to avoid it. We are to repent, but when we repent, it does not necessarily mean we will not fall back into that same sin ever again. this is BS imo when you repent of fornication in whatever way for example you are there when you do it again, you didn't repent. you cannot truely believe then is my interpretation. things like looking with lust that's something that you may not be able to control completely cause that's a natural response upon the sight of certain imagery, but it is all on you if you willfully decide to stay in that lust and not snap out of it. and especially when you decide to act upon that. and for a big part it's also your responsibility to stay away from such imagery, like on your computer etc.

Repentance is change of mind from unbelief to belief(metanoia in greek) . It is not turning from sins. Turning from sins is work salvation(romans11:6). We are not saved by works(romans 4:5, eph 2:8, romans 11:6).We are saved by faith alone in finished work of Christ (john3:16 ,john3:36, john6:47) . We are saved by faith alone in Christ alone. As I was listening, this verse came to mind: *No one who abides in him keeps on sinning; no one who keeps on sinning has either seen him or known him.* _1 John 3:6 ESV_ One thing I've learnt in my walk with Christ is that sanctification produces brokenness over sin and it's that brokenness that then drives the believer to confession. Also, if you are truly saved and are being sanctified, you will notice decreasing patterns of sin in your life. Yet, you are never so sanctified as to never sin again - that's why we look forward to glorification. Be blessed 🙏.

However, between us and God, we know He hates sin and our revelling in it has disrupted our fellowship and as between true lovers we know when we have hurt the other. Only God knows your heart. A righteous man falls 7 times. So some sins become habitual. Everyone has a weakness a thorn in their side to deal with. Yes confessing over and over the same sin that you did seems repetitive and at times not sincere to those of us that struggle with our flesh. But again God knows our heart. For forgiveness happens one time. When we first believe. When we were born again, all our sins are forgiven as far as the east is from the west. Past, present, and future. If somebody wants to confess a sin to another brother or sister, or directly to the Lord, then great! But doesn't make them any more less forgiven then that time they first believed. I believe Paul was talking about false converts. Which sadly, I'm sure we have plenty of. Jesus is coming, and coming soon! 🙏✝️🙏

So I’m that way we wouldn’t sin against Him, but even if we do He forgives us. However with the Holy Spirits conviction we won’t want to go and sin against the Lord. Repent simply means to change your way of thinking, or change your mind. No turning from this to that, or remorse for something. It simply means to change the way you think. Changing the way we think automatically causes changes in behavior. Why is it soooo difficult for people to understand what this word means? Religious tradition I guess.

I don't agree with the idea of a sinning Christ's follower. Jesus said "go and sin no more" John 8: 11. You pray for forgiveness of known and unknown sins, you are sinless, why shouldn't a Christian stretch the sinlessness to all his/her life? It's in my opinion even contradicts "follower of Christ" title if you sin.

I have a problem with the "too common among teenagers" sin, which is lust. It is really hard especially in college life. By God's grace I was able to go to my first semester's exam without masturbating nor pornography, but after coming back home, I fell, and today I fell really bad, watching porn again. Worse part, I feel no remorse, and so that feeling of do I know I am wrong and will I trust Jesus in the future is there. But, as Dr Turek said, I cannot follow my heart, but Christ. Not true repentance in the Bible translated from Greek actually means to change your mind and when it is salvific, referring to salvation it has nothing to do with your sins it is changing your mind from unbelief to belief in Jesus alone to save you. In Jonah 3:10 it tells us that God repented and God does not sin and has no sin, thus it has nothing to do with sinning and not sinning.

Romans 3:23, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." We have all sinned. We have all done things that are displeasing to God. There is no one who is innocent. This verse expresses an idea which is key to understanding how to be saved from God's wrath and included in His family. A key point to understanding this verse is its context.
