I think that our first initiative would be to have people discern between religion and a relationship with God. The majority of people who are believers and unbelievers, have adopted a false presupposition about becoming a Christian. They think that they are invited to join this "extracurricular activity" performed mainly on Sunday's as per all Christian Churches out there, and participate for an hour or two in a storytelling seminar performed by the Priest, and then go home etc!! Born Again Christians should illuminate to the blind what God wants from his people, and pave the way on how to do it!!

And lets not forget about all the child abuse that has happened within the church, that the leaders of the churches try to hide. A simple verse from Galatians 6: 3. The Church is the Inn. It’s a place where we can bring the hurt, the lost, the injured. A place that will set the injured back on their own feet, with the Grace of God. We are the Innkeepers, keep it simple. Oh, the Samaritan left two pence, or two days worth. Take that as you want, but Jesus has been gone for almost 2000 years. The next time he comes, he comes bearing gifts.

In the Orthodox Church, unbaptised people used to have to stay in the narthex where they could still worship but they were not allowed into the main church. The icons of the various saints that sit on either side used to be of men on the right and women on the left and people would have to sit either on the right if they were men and on the left if they were women - this was to prevent against lustful thoughts during service. These practices no longer hold, but this is why we have icons on either side and why there is a separate entrance before the main entrance, where we light candles before entering.
