*STOP! YOU ARE LYING ABOUT EVERYTHING! READ EZEKIEL 18 & EZEKIEL 33. GOD DOES NOT WANT TO PUNISH ANYONE - HE WANTS US TO REPENT. THERE IS NO ORIGINAL SIN THAT CURSES MANKIND. NOBODY CAN DIE FOR THE SINS OF ANOTHER. REPENT AND NONE OF YOUR SINS WILL BE REMEMBERED AGAINST YOU. THAT IS THE ONE AND ONLY SALVATION PLAN FOR ALL PEOPLE FOR ALL TIME - REPENTANCE.*

Christianity has two thousand years of history. Before us there were many other Christians. Christ told us that the Holy Spirit will teach us all the truth. Thus questions of interpretation were dealt with by the Church in the past and expressed in the holy synods. and Today we know their correct interpretation as recorded by the fathers of the Church. the Oldest Church is the so-called Orthodox Church. There, and especially in the Greek fathers, there is everything
@unc1589 Says:
The question is loaded with error. Who said we get to interpret? Who says we should agree? When you read a verse, your understanding of it is either wrong or right. It takes years of study and the Spirit of God to understand. Here’s a shocker…. God doesn’t want “Everybody” to understand the Bible. In the same way that Jesus spoke in parables so that “everyone” would not understand. God knows the heart of man. Remember the gospel is “Foolishness to THOSE WHO ARE PERISHING!” We must understand that God is not Barney.
@GreenTea4Me Says:
You have to study and understand history. The NT for example is written in a Jewish viewpoint. There are a lot of statements that we look at in English to be one way but means something different or deeper when you see it from a Jewish perspective. Study to show thy self approved. Its a life long thing and can't be done overnight. Bible verses have to be read in context. That is where the study comes in.

The Bible interprets itself based on the context.

It's true, however "the Devil is in the details", that is why today so many Christian denominations exist, with various degrees of differences among them. However I know for sure the only true and complete Church is the Roman Catholic Church, given that it is the one Christ Himself founded while on Earth. And that does matter, because although many Christian denominations agree on many things, God only gives His power , graces and forgiveness graces to one Church, the one Christ founded, others while might be well intentioned do not truly have the means or ways to forgive sins, or get the graces that Christ provides to the Catholic Church, so it is certainly not a minor issue, even if in theological terms some denominations are not too far from the full truth, you do not want to be deceived by joining a Church that was created by another person instead of Christ Himself. This also addressed the issue of who has authority to correctly "interpret" the Holy Bible, naturally only the Roman Catholic Church, given that Christ gave this power to it through Peter the first Pope and first leader of it.

If Christ isnt the resurrected messiah that is currently seated at the right hand everything falls apart. I would say following Jesus as closely as possible would be the best way to follow the word of God. From Genesis to Revelations He is the center. Anything that denies Him is a wrong interpretation. Without Jesus Christianity has nothing. Also this is what I see in the scriptures. Not trying to argue just sharing. God bless love you all!

Line upon line , precept upon precept. Take you time and studying the Bible. Ask God for understanding and truth , and I believe He will give it to you, if you’re sincere.

At the end of the day, what corresponds to reality is what's true. And the bible just ain't it. Talking donkeys, necromancers, dragons, magic zoo boats, and the entire world populated through incest TWICE.... Doesn't take a genius to see the bible isnt true.

Guys please I have a very big question that bothers me alot. Cause I will probably never have a chance to ask that Frank in person. If someone can help me with this. So I have this great friend a really great friend,always there for me,for help or anything. A loving father and a loving husband. But he just doesn't believe in God and Jesus Christ. No matter what you say he can't get to believe it. He never curses name of Jesus or something like that. I even asked him when your last days come when you would know your time is about to come,would you then say "in God's hand I give my life, Jesus Christ is my Lord and Saviour" he said no he wouldn't. So my question is will he end in hell cause of that? No matter how good and loving he is.Because he can't get to belive in Jesus,it's just no way for him. Or will Jesus still give him hand and say "so will you belive now my friend"
@stevenbatke2475 Says:
Every single person decides the meaning. That’s the joy/curse of interpretation.
@JamesRichardWiley Says:
Frank decides if your biblical interpretation of God's Holy Word is reasonable. What if Frank is wrong?
@sotl97 Says:
One thing the Bible is clear on is that God and Jesus are two separate beings. God the Father, the Most High God, is the creater of our spirit and is the one who created the plan. Jesus, Jehova, and The One True God is the creator of all things physical, and the one who is executing God's plan for us, and the one chose to come to Earth as the Messiah, the anointed one from the foundations of God's work. He is the father of our physical bodies, and the father of our salvation. Jesus, after dying did not return to God but went to the world of spirits and set forth the teaching of those there who had not yet been redeemed. He did not return to God until after his appearance to Mary in the garden, after he had completed his work of the atonement and resurrection, and witnessing to man that he had completed his work. Jesus has been exalted, inherited all that God has, and is a pattern for us and how we can also be exalted and have all that God has and sit on his right hand.
@sonnypruitt6639 Says:
I would have answered this question, that it's up to the Holy Spirit to interpret scripture. That the Holy Spirit can speak to us, through our thoughts and intellect, through direct revelation ( when you think a thought and you realize that it didn't come from you, and it doesn't contradict God's Word) and when He speaks to us from the pulpit, or a pastor, or a brother/sister in Christ. Understand, you can only have the Holy Spirit within you, if you have acknowledged and received the Lord Jesus as your savior, and have given your heart and life to Him.
@ronrontall6370 Says:
Only the Church that is the Body of Christ driven by the Holy Spirit can tell what each verse means. People using their mind alone can be mistaken, and inerprete it each in their own way. That's why need to listen what Church fathers say on each verse.
@davidnarh9529 Says:
The holy ghost interpretate the verses
@dylanschweitzer18 Says:

How come this "all powerful god" couldn't make a proper book? (Compilation) To have something mean so many things is a poorly written book. Books with talking donkeys and snakes are 100% of the time thrown into the fiction bin
@brucedavenport7016 Says:
Once you receive the Holy Spirit your understanding of Scripture becomes much clearer. Why? Because the creator of the universe is dwelling inside you!
@edoardo7311 Says:
Maybe because the response was kind of co-ordinate with the other person, but usually Dr. Tarek tackles questions more effectively and to the point, this does not sound convincing and 100% related to me, in all honesty

How about reading the Bible for yourself in order to be capable of discernment?
@TheRastacabbage Says:
There's no trinity in scripture, so if your church teaches that, you're in the wrong place
@TheRastacabbage Says:
Jesus set up one church. That church has prophets, apostles etc. So if that's not your church, you're in the wrong place

@Godlimate Says:
Occam’s razor discerns well for this. We have at best everyone agreeing that the bible is written by men. Keep it simple like that as we treat this to be the case for every other historical book and nothing more. Opening a can of worms to explain a divine intervention through our faculties is not something an ordinary human can resonate with, so it should naturally be undesirable to defend anything out of the ordinary. Good luck otherwise and realise that you are going to have a difficult time trying to convince your case. That is the burden you get with extraordinary claims.

Heres a Classic Interpretations of the Flood.. God is a Moral Monster for Killing all the Babies. While the Facts are Noah was wise and responsibile Father who built a Ship to Protect his Family from a flood that was coming. 120 or so.years noah built the Ship and the other Parents of the world Didnt. So who is at Fault for their own childrens safety ? Exactly Its Best to build your house on the Rock which is the Word of God instead of the Sinking Sand. If you buiqd your house on a Volcano ans it explodes you at fault not God.
@Thundawich Says:
Isn't..... isn't the answer just obviously 'the author'? I mean the author had specific concepts in mind that he was trying to communicate to others when he wrote the thing that he wrote, surely that would be the obvious benchmark on how to interpret the verse, no?
@truecolors5413 Says:
Romans 15:20 Yea, so have I strived to preach the gospel, not where Christ was named, lest I should build upon another man's foundation: The American Churches were all.built on another mans foundation. Most all violate Gods Word.
@truecolors5413 Says:
Jesus says here don't be in Politics because he had a DIFFERENT SET UP IN MIND. Yet People in church abandoned Jesus way for the world's. Matthew 20 : 25 But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them. 26 But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister; 27 And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant: 28 Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many
@truecolors5413 Says:
1 Cor 11:14 Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him? Paul Met Jesus and after.meeting him Proclaimed long hair on a man is a obvious shame Yet Decades of Christian Pictures ,movies etc all have Jesus with Long Hair. Who decides how to interpret The Bible ? The Bible itself.decides but false Teachers seem to always have the Center Stage in this World
@truecolors5413 Says:
Pre Trib Rapture Cult Violates the BASIC LAWS of Interpreting Gods Word. They teach and Preach on a Idea Paul is CRYSTAL clear to NOT DO. 2 Thess 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; PAUL GAVE A CRYSTAL CLEAR MESSAGE DONT LET PEOPLE DECEIVE YOU ABOUT THE RAPTURE and ITS THOSE INSIDE The Church who are doing just that TRYING TO DECEIVE YOU
@Texas_Lead Says:
The Bible says what it means and means what it says
@JiraiyaSama86 Says:
I wouldn't ask who. The real question is how to interpret it properly. Which they addressed. Part of doing so requires trial and error. You're essentially trying to make the picture as "unblurry" as possible to see enough of what the picture depicts. That takes time and learning. Which means you'll need patience. Which is something that's kind of lacking today in many parts of the modern world.
@jeffersonneto1378 Says:
Great answer.. however a guy like Barth Earman seems really honest in his ways of interpretation
@RodMartinJr Says:
*_Humility_* to God Almighty and what He meant, not what some imperfect human 1,700 years ago said it should mean. Everyone mangles scripture! That's unavoidable because we live in Darkness on this side of the Narrow Gate. Aim your humility to God. Empty your cup of all that you think you know and then ask God to refill your cup of knowledge. Repeat this process for the rest of your life and you will continue to get closer and closer. After all, Christ said that many are called but few are chosen. *_How few?_* Millions, thousands, dozens? Let that *_terrify_* you into humility! A righteous, productive humility.
@LoveMuffin800 Says:
The Catholic Church is the only authority on interpretation on the Bible.
@xaviertorres1685 Says:
Answer:The Church!, the only authentic, the catholic!, the only that Jesus founded, protestantism is just an opinion.
@gordo191 Says:
A Good example of interpretation is Revelation 1 v 10 John says I was in the spirit on THE LORDS DAY, some people use this as meaning Sunday the first day of the week , yet in actual fact John is saying I was in the spirit on the Sabbath, the seventh day ,
@cornyconnie. Says:
If people would simply go directly TO God to find and receive the truth, we would ALL be "on the same page", rather than trying to find Him by dissecting what other humans wrote in the Bible, or choose to interpret it as! TALK TO God! If you want to know Him, and about Him, and the TRUTH... open your MOUTH and SPEAK! He is right there waiting for that relationship to finally begin! ❤
@larzman651 Says:
Honestly I believe the KJV to be the true word of GOD. If you don't that's fine you can have your own opinion , you won't convince me of your opinion. For GOD so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whomsoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life 🙌
@amishgirl1000 Says:

@jacoblopez2549 Says:
When I study a certain verse, I can look at multiple sources from books, YouTube, blogs, article that are decades apart. They may say them in different ways, but they’re always interpreted the same. Thats if they’re not twisting scripture. I copy the same tactic J. Warner Wallace did in his book, Cold Case Christianity.
@vinniebasile9404 Says:
What Frank and Jorge said in this video was sound, but I don’t think it really addressed the heart of the question. No sinful man has the authority to decide what a Bible passage means. The Holy Spirit Himself is the only one with this authority because He is the author of the Bible. Period. There is only ONE true interpretation in every passage of the Bible, and here it is: The original author’s intended meaning to the author’s intended audience. That’s it. Anything other than that is just an opinion of the interpretation or an application thereof. Just remember—the Bible isn’t written TO you. It was written FOR you.
