For all the people disliking, think back to how Jesus commanded us to follow the Golden Rule which is best followed by loving on our brothers and sisters in Christ.
Dave is indeed living in sin, so thankfully we can follow Jesus method of addressing him privately first. A public forum is NOT where you rebuke him, for that is the Lord’s judgment.
Rather, it is our job to lovingly deliver the message. If he chooses otherwise, that is tragedy and deserves prayer. Condemnation is God’s power, not ours…otherwise we teeter into becoming modern day Pharisees who judge others’ faults rather than sanctifying our own. :/
